Hotel Lowietje Lisse - Keukenhof - Free Parking

We recently stayed at this hotel and left with mixed feelings. On the positive side, the room was clean and comfortable, with a nice bed, spacious bathroom, and well-maintained amenities like clean kettles. The location was also a key reason we chose this hotel—its proximity to Keukenhof is definitely a plus. However, the overall value didn’t quite match the price we paid. The hotel lacks facilities and amenities that you might expect at this price point. Additionally, the reception is unmanned, and all queries must be handled via email or a phone placed in the reception area, which feels impersonal and inconvenient. One particularly disappointing experience was around our request for a late checkout. We spoke with a staff member in person, who confirmed the late checkout twice and said she would send a payment link. Despite following up by email, we never received it. When we returned to our room, our belongings had been hastily packed by the cleaning staff, and we were told that checkout was at 11 AM. When we tried to clarify through the reception phone, we were informed there had been a misunderstanding, and the hotel ultimately decided to treat it as if no late checkout had been arranged. Overall, while the hotel has potential, the lack of clear communication and limited service made our stay less than ideal. It’s a decent choice if you prioritize location, but be prepared for a more hands-off and minimal experience.
