About this house rental
Your dream of vacationing on a private island in the middle of a majestic mountain lake is a reality with this property. The 5 bedroom 3 bath 2 half bath home is located on the Southern facing shore of Buck Knob Island in the middle of Lake Glenville. This property conveys the feeling of secluded living, while remaining completely accessible and convenient to the mainland and nearby town of Cashiers. Once in Cashiers the drive to the landing is very easy with no winding roads. The 5-minute, boat ride is what makes this community unlike any neighborhood or club in the mountains. No cars, no traffic, just walking and nature on Buck Knob. The home was custom designed for mountain/lake life. The large great room arches support the beautiful cathedral ceiling. It is a stunning architectural element not to be missed. The spacious open layout allows for easy flow between indoor and outdoor living, with two indoor and one outdoor fireplace. The master bedroom on the first floor is spacious, with beautiful views of the lake and surrounding mountains. Two guest bedrooms upstairs offer guests privacy and plenty of room to enjoy their mountain experience. On the lower level, the bonus room is set up as the ultimate game room. A pool table, shuffleboard table, dartboard and huge television all create a recreational dream for the kids or the kids-at-heart. Two additional sunny guest suites downstairs provide more privacy for your friends & family. The outside of this home is as beautiful as the inside. There is a walking trail that circles the island.
We can provide you with a contact to directly rent a pontoon from. You are welcome to bring your own boat as well. The lake offers day cruises, tubing, waterskiing, fishing, or just hanging out at one of the three waterfalls feeding the lake. Get to shore to roam the beautiful towns of Cashiers and Highlands or take short drives to several beautiful hiking trails close by.
The house offers a hot tub, washer/dryer, full kitchen, 5 bedrooms, 3 baths and 2 half baths.
Weeks run from Sunday to Sunday with a seven day minimum. We do have a 10 person maximum for the home.

This beautiful mountain home situated on an exclusive island in the middle Lake Glenville.
Is absolutely amazing !
The entire family from babies, young adults to grandparents hung out all day on the floating dock
Everything you could possibly imagine was available to us Kayaks, fishing Poles floating swim pad and tubing ..
At this home you have a choice where to unwind and relax on one of three incredible porches all with breathtaking views of the lake, the downstairs private porch with two large swing beds , the covered side porch with fireplace and jacuzzi or the outdoor dining Veranda .

Our family and friends so enjoyed every day… the caretaker Danny made our trip seem less from ferrying my Charleston friends to and fro to shore to giving us a tour of the waterfalls… my grandson spent much time with his Dqad playing pool and shuffleboard and I.. the grandmother… sat on the porch sand watched the hummingbirds feed and fight for food…
