Ivy Cottage is in a brilliant location for walkers and made the ideal base for our stay.
The double bed was VERY uncomfortable. The fire hadn’t been cleaned and no supply of wood. No WIFI. Needs some maintenance.

Lovely view from the lounge window.
Very hard to find, signs would be helpful. Unmade path leading up to the cottage was very poor and overgrown with foliage, which made access a bit difficult. people with mobility difficulties may. struggle.

Comfortable, good location but won't stay again
The location of this property is excellent, although it's a 20min walk into Ambleside town centre. The view, overlooking the lake from the dining room window is gorgeous and there's a trail right outside the front door that leads up to Todd Crag - excellent views. The bathtub is huge and the beds are comfy. The kitchen is well equipped.
This residence was advertised as having wifi and it does not, this resulted in me losing two days of annual leave as I had planned to work while in the Lake District. There was a fair bit of dust around the main bedroom and lounge. The furniture in the lounge was old and dirty. There was no hand wash provided in either of the bathrooms. It was too expensive for what is was to be honest and we won't stay again.
