Welcome to Overlook Pointe!
Overlook Pointe is a 4BR/3BA mountain getaway with panoramic views of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Located less than three (3) miles from Beech Mountain Ski Resort, this home provides easy access to winter favorites like skiing, snowboarding, ice skating, and sledding. In the warmer months, hiking and mountain biking are big attractions at the resort. Buckeye Recreation Center, Wilderness Run Alpine Coaster, Sugar Creek Gem Mining, and Sugar Mountain Ski Resort are a few other local attractions within a short 15-minute drive. The charming town of Banner Elk is five (5) minutes away, with fine restaurants, local shopping, and conveniences like grocery stores and gas stations.
With unique stone and warm wood detailing, this home combines a modern aesthetic with rustic touches. The main living area is centered around a stone fireplace and a large HDTV while also maintaining stunning mountain views through the many windows. The kitchen features stainless steel appliances and quartz countertops, and seating is available for up to twelve (12) guests at the two main dining tables and two (2) at the bar. Outside on the two levels of porches are additional dining space, a porch swing, Adirondack seating, and a large hot tub for guests to enjoy while overlooking the sweeping vista. There is also a patio with a large stone fireplace and seating.
The master bedroom is on the main level and has a king-size bed, an HDTV, private access to the deck, and an ensuite bathroom with a jetted tub and a walk-in shower. Also on the main level is a bedroom with a queen-size bed and an HDTV. On the lower level are two bedrooms, a king bedroom and a queen bedroom. They share a full bathroom. The lower level features a spacious den equipped with a pool table, foosball table, a Multicade Arcade game machine, ample cozy seating around a large HDTV, a wet bar area, and a sleeper sofa that accommodates two.
Three (3) dogs are welcome at Overlook Pointe, with no weight limit. Pet fees will apply. A dog crate is available at the property. Access to the home is up a flight of 6 steps.

Overall we really liked the house but it was very poorly stocked as mentioned in some of the other reviews.

I could not have asked for a better place to stay for our family. The house, including the location, was wonderful. There were 12 of us and we did not feel like we were "on top of one another" and the game room was the highlight! We have the best time and I would definitely stay here again.

While the location and property were really good, unfortunately, there were issues with some of the cleanliness. The availability of housewares, linens, and the overall condition of the furniture and items found in the home was somewhat lacking… It is a beautiful location, and as long as you are aware that linens and housewares and other necessary items are very limited, you can plan accordingly… As a family of 12, we had to do laundry almost every day to make sure we had enough towels and bed linens… In addition, the housewares were very limited… Cookware, cups and utensils were somewhat limited… I have notified the property manager that some of the furniture is in very worn state… Especially couch in the game room… Probably need to do an update to some of the furniture to provide a quality stay… That being said, our family would visit again, but we would be prepared for the obstacles… And, be prepared for drive up to cabin… In snow and ice suggestion for four-wheel-drive, or even possibly snow tires would be good… Very steep climb… If you had a lot of snow, probably would not want to venture away from the cabin…
