About this house rental
The Magical Bird House overlooks Emerald Bay and enjoys soaring views to the mountains beyond. We refer to our intimate cabin, tucked up among the treetops as "The Bird House" due to its abundance of visiting birds and wildlife. The home is furnished with contemporary pieces yet remains true to its cozy cabin feel with plush blankets and rustic artwork. The Outdoor Bubble allows guests to enjoy the natural beauty of the mountains, lake and wildlife while staying cozy and warm inside. Guests tell us they have never experienced anything like this and have named the spectacle "Snow White's Magical Kingdom." It truly is beyond explanation. The newest addition of an adult-sized playhouse complete with loft overlooking the lake is a big favorite with guests of all ages. Arrowhead Village is a 5-minute drive, or if you prefer a beautiful 2 mile walk along the maintained Arrowhead Lake streets and lakeside trails. The Bird House offers interest for everyone of all ages. Those who wish to lounge with morning coffee or an evening glass of wine, may sit in the Bubble and take in the changing scenery as the sunrise and sunset color the distant mountains. The younger crowd who will spend hours playing with the custom-made doll’s house or having epic NERF battles with more than a dozen NERF guns and hundreds of rounds of “amo” which are kept outside in the “NERF BUNKER.” Our goal is that guests will feel completely at home and create lasting memories in our private little piece of heaven.
The driveway to our cabin is very steep. If you drive up the driveway, there is parking right at the house, but if you decided not to use the driveway, you may park at the bottom of the driveway off the street. Once up the stairs, the beautiful deck and views will make up for the trek. Most original Lake Arrowhead homes are built up on the hills to allow for better views of the majestic landscapes. We want to make sure our guests know ahead of time about the driveway and stairs to make sure that works for them and their family.
Dogs are welcome and there is a $125 extra non-refundable fee.

The house is absolutely lovely. Super easy to get in touch with the host for any and all issues that may come up. Only thing id say is the Drive way is no joke. If you have a 4 W drive youll make it up no problem.
I drive a 2WD pick up truck and made it up with out too much trouble.
Overall, lovely place. 10/10,would recommend

We had a great time celebrating Xmas and playing in the snow while staying at the cabin. We had 5 adults and 2 children - enough room but definitely cozy. The outside bubble adds a lot! Until it gets too cold. We couldn't keep it warm enough to use once the temperature dropped to the 30s. The cabin has everything - beds are comfortable - kitchen is small but adequate. Bring slippers in the winter because the windows are single-paned so there's a chill. The only challenge is the driveway and it is intense! I thought people were exaggerating but we did a measurement and figured it's about a 25 degree drive! I put my big girl panties on and drove up to unload but didn't attempt it again. Once it snowed - no way! So, we got our exercise with the stairs!

The key to our nearly 90 day stay was the overall ease of communication with the owner/manager. She did everything possible to make our stay pleasant & positive. Laura was responsive & caring!!
