RUMI Hotel with Self Check-In

Self-check-in worked like a charm. All codes were easily entered, parking in the courtyard is free and the room was easy to locate. There are two code boxes on the gate to the courtyard. Top one is for the car gate. Bottom one is for the small pedestrian gate. After being on the road for a little over a week we enjoyed being able to bring back food from Maxima and eat “at home”. The small kitchen is useful and modern, but needs a few more things to be fully equipped (eg a tea towel and a brush, plus a larger cutting board would have been great). The quadruple room was spacious for two but would have been cramped if we had been 4.

Oddly enough, the sheet on the bed was for a single bed, so it did not stay put on the double bed as it should have. Rooms facing the Brivibas Iela will have traffic noise so being ear plugs, or try to ask for rooms facing the courtyard or away from the street.

Good location, well organized self-checkin

The place is still very clean and comfortable, yet I feel they are slowly disengaging from that business. Everything operates thus far, but can't contact them or reach from any given channel (phone, email, sms). Also, the daily cleaning and refill that used to be there, isn't any more.

The bathroom and kitchen sink would benefit from limestone/calc cleaning, with same across various rooms. The biggest challenge is that no way to contact them - I tried to call in different times, from various phones, no answer. No daily cleaning or refill across multi day stay means you need to start buying things yourself.

I liked that I could easily check in myself, and there was a parking space available for my car in the courtyard.

I didn’t like that there was a fist-sized hole in the bathroom wall.
