About The Oakland South
This historic vacation rental sits one block from gorgeous North Beach and its family friendly playground & concessions. Located in historic Monroe Park, our place boasts four bedrooms, three full bathrooms, loads of living space, lake views to the west and a beautifully appointed kitchen with marina views to the east. Sit on the front patio and enjoy people watching and sunsets on the lake. Grill on the private deck, play yard games on a soft green lawn, and watch boats pass by from the back yard.

- 4 bedrooms: 1 King, 2 Queens, 4 twins (set up as 2 bunk beds)
- pack-n-play available
- 3 full bathrooms: all showers have privacy glass, en-suite master bath, first floor bathroom adjacent to queen bedroom, and shared hall bathroom has dual sinks and shower-tub combo
-Twin daybed on landing
The entire home and private deck are yours to enjoy. The front & back lawns and the front patio are common areas shared with our neighbors and their guests at the Oakland North. There are two dedicated off-street parking spaces for this unit.

New Year's Eve Beach Ball with DJ, dancing and fireworks...loads of (free!) fun leading up to midnight
The Ice Breaker - First Weekend of February! - heats up downtown with it's annual Snowsuit Fashion Show, outdoor ice sculpting, chili cook-off, cardboard sled racing, frozen fish fling, fire-pits for s'mores, Pub Slide, horse-drawn wagon rides, ice skating and live entertainment all weekend.

Stephanie made every effort to make us comfortable . The house had lots of extras that we didn't expect but very much appreciated. There were extra blankets, sheets, and pillows.The layout of the house created an easy area for the ten of us to hang out. Kitchen, dining area, and family room together are huge and we could all be together when we wanted.

WOW! Everything is just as it's pictured. We had an excellent time, walked on the beach, walked into town, enjoyed cooking in the kitchen, and games at the large table with 6 of us was awesome. The bedrooms are all great, beds are comfortable, and the bathrooms for each couple worked well. Parking was perfect, and for those of you who bike. There were two paths you could get to right from the house. Van Buren path and the Kal-Haven path. We biked them both, and returning to the house each day was perfect. Can't say enough positive points. We hope we can work out a plan to return.
