About this villa rental
For rent a charming late 19th century villa completely renovated by an architect in 2019/2020, providing it with the comfort of a modern house while keeping its authenticity, on a large plot, adorned with century-old cypress trees.
Our family house is ideally located, on a classified site, in the Bois de la Chaize, 300 meters from the Plage des Dames and one kilometer from the town of Noirmoutier en l'ile, in a privileged environment close to nautical pleasures and many activities, all reachable by bicycle. The house can accommodate 8 to 10 people maximum, with 4 bedrooms upstairs and one on the ground floor. Large living room with fireplace, 60m² dining room with American style kitchen and central island under veranda. Two bathrooms and two separate toilets. The house benefits from a heated swimming pool from June to September.

- The premises must be left cleaned when leaving, the beds unmade and the sheets and towels left in the bathroom. It is possible to provide for the cleaning of the house when leaving the premises (except the kitchen which must be fully cleaned) for an amount of 130 €.

We had a truly wonderful family week in this beautiful villa.
The villa was clean and very well-equipped, with lots of towels provided. There was plenty of space for our party of ten (from ages 5 to 79) to comfortably live for a week. Cooking in the kitchen and bbq/outdoor space was a pleasure.
Table tennis, table football and the swimming pool were a huge bonus for both the children and adults!
The beach, with lovely sea-bathing, was less than a ten-minute walk. Noirmoutier town was also within walking distance, but would recommend hiring a bike for your stay as the daily cycle to Noirmoutier (via the Marais de Mullembourg) for groceries is lovely.
Would definitely recommend exploring the island by bicycle - there are plenty of bike hire places in Noirmoutier - we had some lovely days out to other parts of the island.
Thank you to both the concierge and the owner, who were both very helpful and kind. We had a wonderful stay.

Characterful old house with high quality renovation in historic neighbourhood visited by Renoir.
Kitchen has superb appliances. Fermob furniture throughout. An incredible pool with a sliding wooden deck.
Be aware:
house situated on corner of two small roads, one of which is the main access to Plage des dames; speedbump right by the house; lacking privacy from the road; neighbouring school has frequent bells on school days; bedrooms and beds are compact; one shower room upstairs and one downstairs.
Property manager asked for 224€ for cleaning; seems a lot as we found live spider and blonde hairs in a bed, and very dusty and not completely clean.
Owner very helpful and responsive. A book of his local recommendations plus guide to appliances/towel radiators would help.

Maison magnifique restaurée avec goût. Emplacement idéal. Piscine chauffée très appréciable. Le bonheur. Rien à dire, notre séjour ( avec le soleil) a été superbe. Rien ne manque il y a même la plancha, la table de ping-pong avec les raquettes et les balles. La plage des Dames à 5 minutes les circuits vélo au pied de la maison. Stationnement des voitures dans la propriété. En plus début juin l'île est calme. Nous y retournerons certainement.
