Beautiful and scenic location in nature, spacious and well-equipped flat, helpful host

Rough road off tarmac, so you need an SUV.

Die Lage mit der wunderbaren Weitsicht, fernab vom touristischen St. Elena, ist sehr schön, alle Parks sind gut erreichbar. Die Einrichtung ist schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen und wirkte mit den wuchtigen Möbeln und den vielen Stühlen etwas überfrachtet. Das Bett ist für 2 große Menschen schmal, wir haben das untere Etagenbett mit genutzt. Wir konnten uns vom Nachbarhaus 2 Gartenstühle nehmen und hatten so eine Alternative zu den Betonstühlen.

Für 3 Tage zur Besichtigung der Nationalparks okay, für einen längeren Aufenthalt wäre es uns nicht gemütlich genug gewesen.

This is a great location surrounded by nature, quiet and peaceful yet only a few minutes drive from the facilities of Santa Elena and the beautiful attractions of Monteverde. There are three cabins here, but you have a fair amount of privacy within your own accommodation. The cabin has a lovely view looking west towards the Bay of Nicoya, although for us the view was often obstructed by the parked cars of the other cabins. Our host Xinia was very friendly and helpful, and our communication via WhatsApp with her English speaking son Emanuel at all times was excellent.

As others have noted, the access road to the property requires a 4WD or at least a high clearance car, but this is also the case with much of Monteverde and elsewhere in Costa Rica, especially if you want to visit the many interesting places that are slightly off the main roads. Overall we were very happy here and this accommodation for us was a very good base from which to explore.

Beautiful spot with an exceptional view. The house is well furnished. We were warmly welcomed by the family and they explained us the different spots around the town. The house is in nature and not too far from everything. Owner was really responsive when we had questions. The road to get there is a bit bumpy, so ideally have a 4x4 to get there.

Only thing we would have appreciated would have been to have chairs to relax outside. There is a concrete table with benches outside, but nothing to relax and appreciate the view. But other than that, everything was good!
