Such lovely staff and lovely looking rooms

The bungalows were lovely and the staff were so lovely and helpful! Approx 2 minutes walk to the beach, quite a rocky beach but lovely to go to in the evenings and try all the restaurants. Really helpful that you can rent a motor bike through the hotel.

We didn’t realise that you had to pay extra for the air-con and without it the rooms get very hot. We paid around 500bht a night for air con which I found to be quite expensive. The room does come with a big fan but I didn’t feel it did much :(

Peaceful garden escape with great access to beach

We spent three nights in a Lanta Andaleaf bungalow in late December and had a brilliant stay. The rooms are all nicely spaced out in a lush garden that feels like a peaceful escape from the main road just behind. The balconies are a great place to enjoy a morning coffee or escape the heat of the day. Our bungalow was closest to the beach and it took about three minutes from the front door to the sea. When you hit the beach you can turn left and be spoiled for choice with bars/lounges/restaurants or turn right and feel like you have the whole place to yourself in a couple of minutes' walk. The staff were brilliantly friendly and helpful and made us feel so welcome. They also sorted out our laundry and some taxi bookings - they can also hire out motorbikes and book excursions if you need. So close to the beach that we didn't feel the need to do much else for the rest of our short stay. There are loads of taxis that can take you around the island if needed though. We had some great Thai food at Three Sisters restaurant on the main road and in Patty's secret garden a bit further down the beach. For western food, Bow's pizza is also good. Away from the beach, Sabai Sabai is a bit of a walk up the hill (10 mins roughly) and offers great views/sunsets - although I'd recommend booking if you want one of the big hammocks. Lazy Bird just across the road does lovely takeaway coffee.

Great location in Koh Lanta. Beach and bars very close by. Bungalows are nice with comfortable beds and very private and quiet.

A special stay

How friendly the staff were they even arranged everything for us like motorcycle rental and mini van booking. They also gave us a Christmas present on Christmas day which was very cute and much appreciated. It made it very special. Thank you.

Great stay at lanta!

Very beautiful bungalow and the garden of the place is very beautiful. Everything was clean and the service was perfect. Close to the beach.

There was only a sheet and no blanket which even in the Thai heat was kind of cold for me. My bungalow was next to a road that was busier than i expected (a bit noisy)

TO AVOID AT ALL COSTS - HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE

AVOID AT ALL COSTS - It was the WORST hotel experience ever, with dishonest and aggressive staff. I saw that the owner cancelled my booking virtually even though I stayed there 3 nights, in order to avoid my review. But apparently it still works. So I have to describe my horrible experience to prevent others from living a similar one. I initially had booked 2 nights there (through booking.com), then, as I had to work, I booked 12 more days with directly with them. I had only paid one night when arrived, which means I had 13 nights to pay left (14 nights in total - which is not complicated to count). When I was paying the 13 more nights, the owner started to accuse me of trying to steal him and spent one hour re counting the nights I had to pay. I was like ??? But it’s super easy, I checked in on a Sunday, I’m leaving on a Sunday as it’s exactly 14 nights. He was re counting and re counting, trying to prove to his colleagues that I’m a dishonest person, trying to steal them, while the problem is that HE couldn’t count until 14… the fact they barely speak basic English made the scenario event worse. He was driving me crazy. After a long time, he recognised he was wrong. Despite this, I decided to stay anyway as I had already paid and I had work to do. But the nightmare kept going with them. The flush toilet didn’t work in my bedroom, so I was stuck with my own smells, which you can guess is a bit uncomfortable. I tried many times to explain them but as they don’t speak real English, they didn’t understand and kept saying I was complaining. The WiFi didn’t work as well and they kept saying “you you you problem you problem”. They were driving me crazy. I have to precise that those people working there are particularly mean and unpleasant — the contrary of what they should show to the clients that pay them (I have them almost 20 000 baths, I mean, be serous a bit for your own business…).

Lush garden, simple bungalows, no air conditioning

The staff were helpful and spoke good English. The bungalows are in a very nice and tidy environment. There are many restaurants nearby and the beach is a few minutes' walk away. Scooters can be rented on site. The bed is very high but comfortable.

Without air conditioning, it was difficult to sleep, only the fan worked, which was very loud and blew strongly. There are no mosquito nets on the windows, so we could not ventilate comfortably.

Beautiful garden, very close to the beach & restaurants

Beautiful garden and jungle vibe right outside your door, it was nice to have the terrace balcony, rooms are nicely designed, friendly staff, you can get your laundry done on site, great location very close to the beach and lots of restaurants.

The WiFi didn’t work at all, the overhead light was a very harsh bright white light - a warmer overhead light (or more mood lighting instead) would be so much better!

Had to pay extra for the remote to the Aircon. Room with Aircon wasn't booked to be fair but was very necessary as it turned out as the huts get very hot. Just be wary when booking. Quality of bike they rented to me was poor, brakes were not good on it.

Quiet, peaceful property in a great location to explore the rest of Koh Lanta.

Great location, just a short walk from the beach in a peaceful setting. Helpful staff. Great location to use as a base to explore Koh Lanta and some really nice restaurants nearby. You can rent a moped from here or the Pinky's next door (but make sure to take plenty of photos of your bike if you do rent from next door). We ended up extending our stay a few times as we loved the area. We would definitely recommend booking a room with aircon as we originally had a room with only a fan and it was too hot for us. The staff were really helpful and were able to move us into a room with AC.

Wifi signal was quite weak in Room A1.

Great place to stay, only 6 min from the beach and all amenities, such as cafes, restaurants, massage places, ATM, Seven Eleven we're super close so that I didn't even bother renting a scooter. Will come back for sure :)

when I arrived, the water in my bungalow was switched off. when I told the staff, they fixed it immediately but didn't even say sorry or anything. was a bit weird but since my overall stay was great, I didn't mind. but check if the water is on when they bring you to your bungalow :)

All the good points of my time at andaleaf were so good I will definitely look for their bungalows.

Location is lovely: 1 min walk from the beach and breakfast, lunch and dinner at Lantasure restaurant over the main road from andaleaf, or three sisters further down. Resort in front emerald do great thai food and reasonable price. Stayed with andaleaf for 7 nights on honeymoon and loved the bungalow! Housekeeping staff cleaned and made the bed in the middle of our week - that was nice. Use of the pool at the resort next to andaleaf was great because sometimes we didn't catch the high tide to use our float in the sea.

Wifi could be better. The room could use some shelves for clothes. The smell from the farm next door can be strong in the afternoon but in the room it's not noticeable anyways, so it wasn't really a problem to me because I am in ac when it's so hot and not on the balcony.

Very nice, spacious, bungalows, cosy balcony, nice green area around, very clean & good location, with good food options nearby (try the J&J restaurant ). amazing cats, beach 2 minutes away with cool bars.

Unfriendly and impersonal communication with staff. Lowest setting air-con is windy and cold, and there is no blankets/duvet, only a sheet. Even if you ask, they just give you another thin sheet, so had to sleep with pants and woolen pullover on. Its way too warm to sleep without the air-con. They demand passport as deposit for renting a scooter, so we had to find another motorbike shop (there is a good one nearby). They said they would charge 3% for paying with card when we arrived, they dropped it after we pointed out its against booking.com policy. We would have probably extended our stay if it wasn’t for all these issues.

I wouldn't recommend if you want a little bit of luxury

Good location, clean rooms

Very hard mattress. They don't come to clean the rooms during your stay, not even empty your bins while you're not allowed to flush toilet paper. Asked the owner to help us with booking the speedboat to another island which he said he arranged, the morning of our leave while we were waiting to be picked up he messaged and said he didn't. Had to arrange everything ourselves in the end by driving and rushing to the harbour. We JUST made in on time. Paying 20 to max 30$ for this room is fair, we paid 40$ which I think is way overpriced for what you get.

A little home away from home

I really like this place, this was our second time staying there. It feels like a little home because of the spaciousness and I loved the outdoor space.

Just bare in mind if you are arriving in the afternoon to a fan only room....it will be like an oven when you walk in and takes a good while to cool.

Best place to stay on Koh Lanta

We have stayed here twice and loved. a great location, 2 min walk from the beach. Staff are so lovely and accommodating. The bungalows are very comfortable and offer for the room to made up as regularly as you would like with fresh towels.

It’s a great place to stay in. Bungalows are very nice, clean with outdoor relax area. The garden is stunning, you feel like you’re in the jungle. Host and the rest of the family are very helpful. They organized my transfer and helped me when I had some issues with my moblie. 2 minutes from the beach, breakfast spot just arround the corner.

the most wonderful 2 weeks at lanta andaleaf

we absolutely loved our 2 weeks at lanta andaleaf. the family running it are so kind and helpful and the bungalows are perfect. so comfortable and we loved sitting out on the porch in the evenings. it’s also just 1 minute walk to the beach and right next door to reception is a fantastic restaurant called J&J’s. we ate there almost every day! highly recommend lanta andaleaf to couples wanting a romantic getaway.

our bungalow wasn’t given a full clean throughout our 2 week stay, only sheets and towels changed twice. the WiFi was also quite bad for the first week but after another guest complained they installed super fast internet which was great as we were working during our stay. also not a negative about the property but Koh lanta in general- loads of mosquitoes so bring or buy bug spray- we also found lighting incense on the porch to be very helpful!!

Very poor

Upon check in I was told there were no rooms available and I was put in a neighbouring resort (where I did not want to stay). The room felt dull and there was a very basic bathroom with an aircon that made terrible noise. It was close to the beach but didn't get the beach vibes as the place felt old and run down. It was terribly noisy at night till about 1am so it was impossible to sleep. I would not recommend this place for people who are seeking a serene place with a nice beach vibe. Stay further south on the island for that.

Beautiful Bunglow located 3 minutes from sunset beach

I really loved the overall aesthetic of the bungalow and the view of the jungle garden from your porch! The location was so convenient for the beach and any restaurants in the Khlong Beach Area.

The staff were not always present in the main office so once or twice we were waiting a while on them, an example of this was when we were checking in and no staff were around to greet us, we were waiting for 10 minutes and then had to go find someone. This was minor and wouldn’t put me off staying here however!

My boyfriend and I couldn't help but feel disappointed as we had booked Lanta Andaleaf only to be told (after paying) that it was overbooked and we were to stay in a different room. The bungalow we stayed in for the 4 nights was one of the ones next to Lanta Andaleaf called Lanta Emerald. These bungalows are nice but are slightly outdated and tired looking. Even though the Lanta Emerald bungalow we were put in was a bit more expensive (maybe because it's slightly closer to the beach and has AC) it wasn't the bungalow we had booked. We weren't given a proper explanation as to why we were given a different bungalow all together. The owner was very nice but we were disappointed as Lanta Andaleaf bungalows look nicer and newer and we were really looking forward to staying there. He told us his cousin owns them and they do deals sometimes if there are over bookings. We were just confused and left a little unsatisfied with the change.
