- Room was in a flat in the second floor of an old stylish house
- Shared kitchen for 4 rooms. Good cooking facilities. You can make coffee at any time
- Breakfast very good by Italian standards, but very sweet. 5 different cakes on offer!
- Good location about 200 m from Metro station
- Hight ceilings with stucco, stone mosaic floors
- Air conditioning very good - and this is of major importance in the hot Roman summers!
- Our host Kurt could not have been better: very friendly and competent
- Bathroom clean, but shower cabin needs new silicone seals
- Curtains could do with a wash
- Mattresses a bit worn out

Lovely big room in a secluded residential environment away from the tourist throngs, with major attractions easily accessible via Rome’s excellent and easy to navigate bus system or Uber, or even walking if you enjoy longer strolls (metro station also close by). A perfect oasis to retreat to after a busy day of sight-seeing. Suggest you acquaint yourself with the excellent Bar Faggiani, about 50 metres away. We loved having our morning coffee and pastries there amongst the older locals, and a night cap in the evening.
I would have like maybe a slighter bigger shower, but overall Relais Mazzini was the perfect place for our Roman Holiday.

Comfortable bed, good amount of space, great location, yummy breakfast, and friendly staff
Everything was great, but the only thing I could say is that the walls/doors are thin so you can hear your neighbors quite clearly

The check in was super easy and made us arriving very easy.
In the morning starting at about 7am there was lots of people talking and kids yelling out in the hallway. They came to try to clean the room at 9am when checkout was at 11am.
Then as we were checking out we were told we owed another 20 euros for the Taxes but had to pay exact cash, which we didn’t have. We had to walk to the nearest bar to exchange the money then walk back to give it to them.
