Tamarindo Beach hostel

Nice little studio apartment with AC.

Steep hill up to the room and the place around is under construction. Wifi did not work that well.

The hostel has a wonderful sunset view with causey hammocks. The staff is friendly and there is a kitchen for your use and a delicious free breakfast. There are a few room options according to your standards, all relatively cheap. Bear in mind that there is some climbing you need to do, both from the beach to the hostel (but that's true to most hostels in Taganga) and inside the hostel to your room. In my experience it wasn't a deal breaker and even nice to sleep with a view

very cool and open minded staff, we met Jose and he ended up showing us the area, he gave us advices and recommendations to make our stay a comfy one. please ask for him if you want to go for some walk, beers etc..

It was ok for the price, nothing fancy but loved the outdoors.

Overall not to bad, dorm room was small and cozy, and had lockers, but a bit old / dented and tricky to open / close. Overall structure felt a bit rickety, but is wooden so will happen with time and could be seen as having character, also better environmentally. Did include a little breakfast which is nice, nice views from both room and open communal area.

I may have got this wrong but had believed I could pay by card, which turned out not to be the case, getting cash is expensive for me when abroad. Wasn't really impressed with bathroom, had a big hole in the wall, suppose window/ventilation, but meant you were quite exposed when using, true not much at that side so less chance of people being here, but is still accessible, only stayed 1 night then sort elsewhere, just didn't really like the vibe but without anything in particular being too bad
