Casa Seven Ocean Front with Private C hef Included

The pool was great, we spent a ton of time in it. Location was perfect, so much quieter on the south side yet lots of great restaurants within 5 minutes as well as beach clubs. Staff was really amazing, every meal was always ready on time, ground crew cut open fresh coconuts for us, made did a couple of loads of laundry for us. Fresh Ceviche and guacamole every day was amazing!

Only two things: 1) so much cash is needed for the trip. About 1 week before we got a message saying “as you know you need to bring $1k cash deposit” - no we didn’t know that had never been mentioned. You need to bring cash for groceries, lots of cash for tips for staff. Also the cost to add chefs is $200 a night plus groceries, and you have to commit to 2 nights. There were 9 of us and when we went out for dinner we could all eat and drink for about $250-300 so I recommend that, plus you can use credit card that way. When we arrived we had the top chef and drinks and food were amazing. The rest of the week we had his son and his friend, both were very young and the food wasn’t all that great except the ceviche and guacamole. Food was always a ready on time, I’d just give it a 6-7. I feel bad bc they were so nice but we did spend a lot of money for that service so it was disappointing to get a less experienced team.

The villa is beautiful. Breakfast was adapted to our wishes on a daily basis - Ernesto and has sous chef are great. We just paid the grocery bill every day. The WhatsApp / phone communication in advance of the trip was very helpful and made planning the holiday really straightforward (offers t organize boat trips, scuba snorkeling golf buggy etc). We attended the included beach club (Zama beach club) on one occasion but we preferred the Kin ha Beach club which was much closer to the villa (walking distance) and had deck chairs and a beautiful jetty to swim off.

We did not need daily cleaning for the villa. Would be good to be able to opt in or out of this service. Recommend you budget for the golf buggy as the villa is quite far from the town center for dinners etc.

Casa Seven was absolutely beautiful! We had a group of 12, and no one wanted to leave. Camacho, our chef, put up with all our dietary needs and allergies, and made the best food everyday (ask him to make enchiladas verde😋). The property management team was always available for any questions we had. Everything was clean, comfortable and that view..... can't be beat!

House was perfect for our group. Spacious and clean. Staff was wonderful and concierge helped us organize golf carts and activities.

When it says chef included it means chef is available at an extra charge. A little misleading.
