This 3-bedroom, 3-bathroom home has a pool, a fire pit, and a fully fenced yard for endless fun. All this and just a minute`s drive (or a leisurely stroll) from the beach. Imagine splashing in the pool after building sandcastles, unwinding poolside with a cool drink, or roasting marshmallows under a blanket of stars. Inside, Jamaica Me Happy offers a comfortable layout with a dedicated lounging area perfect for entertaining the kids.

● Location: Jamaica Beach community of Galveston, Texas

● Beach access: Less than a minute drive from the Jamaica Beach access point. Cars and golf carts are allowed to park on the beach.

● Private pool: This home features a large, in-ground pool that is 6ft deep, newly installed in June 2023!

● Community Amenities: Guests have access to the Jamaica Beach community pool (open Memorial Day thru Labor Day - $5 per person) and city park.

● Rent BeachBox: Beach gear rentals are available! Ask us for details and rates.

● WIFI/Cable: We provide free high-speed WIFI and Roku with access to Sling TV for live television channels. Guests are welcome to log into their own streaming service apps.

● Pet Policy: pets are allowed with a $25 fee per pet. Please keep pets off furniture, clean up after them outside, and crate them if left alone indoors.

● Parking: There is room for 4 cars in the driveway.

As you enter the open living and dining space you will notice the vaulted ceiling and space for your whole crew. Two overstuffed sofas and a plush armchair face the large flatscreen television. Your whole group will love to snuggle up here in the evenings to watch television or host a fun family game night.

In the kitchen, a unique island features a rustic, reclaimed-wood workspace and a tiered bar with seating for three. This kitchen is the perfect space to brew your morning coffee, pack up snacks for the beach, or serve up happy hour cocktails before dinner.

The primary suite sits off the living space and has a king-size bed and a spa-like bathroom with a gigantic, custom-built, step-in shower with a built-in bench. Relax here at the end of a long day at the beach while the water cools your sun-kissed skin.

Another bedroom on this floor has a queen-size bed and a twin-over-full bunk bed with a trundle. A second full bathroom on this floor can be accessed from the hallway. Downstairs on the ground level, a super-cool hangout spot for the kids includes a sleeper sofa, flatscreen television, and a full-over-full bunk bed with a trundle.

- Guests must be 24+ to book the property.
- One-night stays must be approved.
- We do not allow parties.
- Quiet hours are from 10pm-8am.
- Any damages to the house or property during your stay will result in a deduction or additional charge for the resulting repair/replacement cost.
- All pets must be approved by our team, stay off of all furniture, be cleaned up after in the yard, and not left alone inside the home unless in a kennel.
- No parking allowed on lawns, yards, empty grass lots or other neighbors’ driveways, even if their home appears unoccupied.
- Oversized vehicles/trailers are not permitted unless explicit approval has been received from our team.
- Do not turn the AC below 70 degrees. If you do, you will risk the AC unit freezing up, requiring it to thaw out which will result in the home getting extremely warm.
- The homeowner`s routine pool maintenance cannot be rescheduled and is required for the health and safety of our guests. They will not need to access the home but will access the yard.
- This community only allows BLACK TRASH BAGS. We provide trash bags under the kitchen sink. Please refrain from using white bags.
- Should an eviction occur due to breaking house rules (noise ordinance violations, excessive guests and/or vehicles beyond the agreed amount), there will be an $850 fine.

Loved my stay here! Cozy house, peaceful neighborhood and a great pool! Beds were comfy and they provided plenty of towels which was a lifesaver. Would definitely stay again.

We enjoyed our stay overall. The pool was fantastic, and it is a very dog friendly space. The listing mentioned and showed games, but we didn't see them. We did have an issue with the smoke detectors. The batteries went out in 2 of them in the middle of the night. I contacted the property manager via emails at around 4:30AM, and they promptly responded. No resolution was made, but the attempt was helpful. Eventually the intermittent beeping stopped, and we were able the get a bit more sleep.

The pool was amazing and the overall atmosphere was pretty family friendly. House and area was pretty clean. Only complaint is the downstairs room was very hot. We ended up buying some fans to stay cool in the downstairs area.

We had a nice weekend. The pool was very nice. A few things need to be addressed. The downstairs is very hot and the window ac does not keep the room cool. The lights were always dim in the whole house. If you used certain appliances the lights flickered or got brighter. Might need to look into a second electrical panel to take some of the load off of the one that is existing. Not sure it’s a repeat stay location.

We had an amazing time is clean love the location and privacy they responded to any concerns. I would only recommend to take extra trash bags specially if is a big group.The downstairs ace it did cool but I don’t think is big enough for the room it stay 78 degrees the room is pretty big and we only had two people stay in there. Pool was clean n it got maintenance early morning it was very clean.

This place has potential but it is very poorly kept up with. The pool is the probably the nicest thing about it but way overpriced for what it really is. First of all before we even made it to the weekend stay we had a life and death emergency with one of the people staying and unfortunately we had to try and cancel. We did not purchase insurance and tried to speak with the Vrbo owner and maybe work something out. Even rescheduling to literally any other date. No sympathy whatsoever. But hey that’s on me for not buying trip insurance. The first thing we noticed when we got there was the mold and standing water and the strong smell of a wet house. The pool had potato chips, toilet paper, trash and even a bandaid from the previous guests still inside the pool. The bbq pit area had literal algae in most of the area under the deck and was slippery to walk on. Inside the countertops were sticky with food. Toe nails on the floor. Coffee cups still had coffee in them. The master tv did not work. Turned on but you’re forced to watch the no signal screen saver until you fall asleep. Remote did not work as well. Trash cans outside were full. I did find it weird that there’s a camera in the back corner of the property facing the driveway but also has full view of the pool. Women and children in sure can be seen in the camera in bikinis or whatever they wear to swim. All in all it was definitely it worth what I paid for and my main concern is the mold found in this home.

The pool is great; clean and well maintained. It was a great way to end our day each night with the kids. The firepit was wonderful. Enjoyed making S’mores and relaxing in the evening. The location was convenient with a general store, gas, and the beach in walking or driving distance. Our concerns were with the minimal kitchen supplies. We wanted more silverware, salt and pepper, baking sheets etc and they weren’t available. We didn’t realize from the pictures that one of the bedrooms was in the basement. This bedroom did not look as if it had been thoroughly cleaned. There were huge dust bunnies and a sock behind one of the couches and a dead roach under one bed. During our stay we also had problems with very large roaches in the downstairs bedroom and one in the upstairs living room.

We had a great time . It was just too short . But all the negative reviews are misleading it is a BEACH HOUSE and being from south Padre Island it is just that the only bad thing is the downstairs bedroom was very humid and hot the a/c only cools the sitting area so we had to purchase two fans . And it didn’t really explain it was downstairs in the description but other than that it was fine . There was a leak I. The ceiling that we reported and he responded to it and I’m sure it was fixed after we left .

The property location was very convenient, we enjoyed a lot however the house needs a maintenance ASAP. There was a leak in a room we stayed, eventually the roof felt off, the a/c duct from the wall kept coming off. We had to fix it. There was broken glass all over the ground by the pool and we had kids with us. We removed a big ball of hair from the pool floor drain. Like i said urgent maintenance! However we really enjoyed, we made the best out of it. And the management did responded fas to my messages.

Our camping trip was cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances so a few of us GS moms decided to take the girls on a little beach getaway. The house was clean and well stocked with all of the essentials. The checkin process was super easy and everything was well communicated. We all had a great time and would definitely stay here again.

Very easy booking process, the property is very close to the beach it’s about a couple blocks away…very nice large pool, they provided towels, my favorite part was the outdoor fire pit they do not provide fire logs make sure to take your own logs if you are planning on using it also if you are going to do any cooking make sure to take your own seasonings they only had pepper and onion powder… all and all it was a great stay.

I recently stayed at this Vrbo property, and unfortunately, it had several issues. Upon checking in, we found it to be very dirty. The kitchen light kept flickering, hinting at possible electrical problems.The AC also had leaks, and the rug was very filthy, making the overall cleanliness a significant issue. Additionally, the door got stuck, adding to our frustrations. On a positive note, the host was very responsive and sent a maintenance man to help with some of the problems, they also mentioned sending a cleaning crew, but that was never fulfilled. The neighborhood was nice and quiet, which was a plus. Overall, despite the small hiccups, it turned out to be an okay stay..

Due to Hurricane Beryl, we were not able to go. Galveston was shut down, property had no power, city asked for limited water usage, and roads were flooded. Property owner wanted us to reschedule but we were not able to do that, so we asked for a refund (per VRBO natural disaster policy). The owner would not give us a full refund. Told our cc company that we went and used the property.

I’m sad to have to write this review. I’ve used VRBO many times, especially in Galveston. I have pictures to support everything below -the downstairs unit was unusable, mold growing on the ceiling, large cobwebs in the corners with spiders on them, and smelled of mold. -the stairs going up are in dire need of repairs, main support was rotted -the pool was filthy. My son in law fished out a dead crab, bandaids and dog bones. The pool guy showed up the next day to clean it. It was not clean on our arrival. He cleaned and shocked it but told us to wait 5 hours before getting in -the door has massive gaps in it. -the floor inside the door has water damage and is rotted, most likely from hurricane Beryl, but needs to be repaired as it sinks in when walked on -the grass hadn’t been mowed, yard was not appealing -the electrical, where to begin. So many extension cords outside that was running the electricity. When you turned on the garbage disposal the kitchen light would go out, I couldn’t use my hairdryer with the bathroom lights on. All electrical outlets were loose -no toilet paper holders, no towel holders or hooks -the master bath had French doors with handles on the outside only. If you shut the doors while in the bathroom you weren’t able to get out -Ants, roaches and spiders everywhere. Ants were on the sofa, on the living room rug. We found a spider on my granddaughters pack in play -refrigerator has broken shelves in the door, all our stuff fell when we opened it

Pool was perfect, house has plenty of rooms and beds. Loved the open concept of the layout. Seafood is a mile away, convince store is very close and beach is just across from the neighborhood. Canal for fishing is close and neighbors who were home were very pleasant. Will be booking again, host answered every text quickly.

My mom booked a cruise for my friends and I. This was where we stayed the night before, we thought it was a little bit closer to the beach but still not too far. The downstairs had an off smell like it was mildew or something but we just aired it out a little bit. We had so much fun in the pool it has little barstools that were so cute! Definitely needed bug spray!

I really wanted to live this place, but unfortunately I just can’t. It doesn’t live up to the pictures and we had quite a few concerns: Gate entrance - the only way into the property is through a gate that is latched from the inside. We had to pull a metal wire from the outside to unleash the handle. Really unappealing and it got caught several times. Bathroom handles on master - the master bathroom has French doors. Once closed, there are no handles on the inside to reopen the doors. Master air conditioning - significantly warmer than the rest of the house, regardless of settings. Toilet paper holders - there are no fixed toilet paper holders in either bathroom. The toilet paper either sits in a basket on the floor or has to sit on the counter next to the toilet. For what we paid for this house, it should have proper toilet paper holders. Bugs (cricket/roaches) - we had crickets and roaches come into the house. The home was not sealed well. Downstairs space with exterior entrance - The listing states that One room is ground level. With the listing does not state is that this room has an exterior entrance and is not a part of the rest of the house. This can be really deceiving as we were planning on using this room for children and could not use it at all due to location. -Grill ashes on ground upon arrival -More run down than pictures show -Fridge has shelf that consistently fell out -Hose in the pool with running water -Cable lines close to the yard

Well, the day was good. I love the pool. The house was nice. The only thing was just checking in was a little difficult, but the management was great. They were fair. The only downfall was there was a lot of mosquitoes, but that was due to the rain wasn’t too crazy about the view, but that’s OK Would recommend it. Maintenance was wonderful. The communication was great. They’re making things right when things were wrong.

This house has a nice little fenced in yard for your pets, good size pool, cute fire pit area with chairs to relax and an outdoor shower (Area was dirty so we didn't use it.) If you're needing last minute things there is a Dollar General within 5 min and a gas station right around the corner. Also, I highly recommend visiting Way West Grill & Pizzeria, which is also right around the corner. Their food was delicious and they deliver! Overall, this house could use a little more attention to detail but it was a good stay. Pros: -Beach nearby (across street) -Gas station/Pizzeria within walking distance -Nice pool (not heated) -Cute Fire Pit Area (wood was provided) -Outdoor lighting -Outdoor shower -1/2 bath where the laundry is located downstairs (extra living/arcade/bunks) -Washer/Dryer available -Plenty of outdoor seating Cons: -Shower in master bedroom was slow to drain -No dinner sitting area inside (apart from the bar) -No seasonings in pantry (not even salt & pepper) -Pool needed a little cleaning -Stairs/ Entry gate/ back fence need some TLC -Pigeons everywhere! -Roku in master bedroom didn't work (reached out for help with no resolution) -Blinds need to be replaced -2nd bedroom upstairs doesn't have a TV

Cute place, safety issues need to be addressed. No lights that work by doors. Deck is not safe, poles are loose some were swaying in the wind. Had to call to get check in code. Beds were good. Only two baths with a toilet in laundry room, not four baths. Outside grounds were dirty, pool was too cold to swim. We paid for a week stayed three nights. Neighborhood a bit sketchy.
