Angie House is new, exceptionally clean, and very close to Plitvice Lakes National Park. It is a basic setting best suited for travellers who just need a simple place to wash and sleep.
The bed is quite firm, though this is compensated for by an abundance of high-quality pillows. Please note that the shower head is handheld, so you’ll need to hold it while washing. I recommend eating before you arrive and bringing your own tea bags for the in-room kettle.
That being said, the owner lives on-site, so it’s possible that further amenities or assistance are available simply by asking—I just didn’t happen to do so during my stay.

First of all, let me thank Milica for the warm hospitality. We traveled together with my mom for 2 nights and Milica agreed to drive us from the Plitvice lakes when we arrived and to the lakes in the morning, one morning it was really early (6:30 am) and he woke up for us.
The accommodation was perfect for two travelers, it was really clean and the bed was good quality. The lakes can't really be approached on foot because there is no pavement, but the lakes are approximately 5 minutes from the accommodation by car.
The place has many benefits, it is surrounded by nature, the owners have 2 dogs and a cat is also in the neighbourhood. They are happy to share knowledge about Croatian traditions and folklore. I really recommend visiting this place if you like walking and would prefer a warm welcome instead of a hotel.
We will surely come back with our whole family.
There isn't reallya food option nearby on foot so if you are not with a car you either need to stock up some food for you or ask Milica for help. Either way, the Black River Steak & Pasta House is an excellent choice.
If you visit this place, you should also check out Slunj/Rastoke, it might be even more magical than Plitvice.

The host was amazing, the best we’ve ever had. He communicated well before and during the visit, even picking us up from the bus, driving us to the only nearby restaurant which is open during the winter, taking us to and from the park, and to the bus early in the morning, waiting with us until the bus arrived so we could wait in a warm car rather than standing in the snow. We had a wonderful time. The room was cozy and comfortable and spotlessly clean, and we’re so thankful to our host for welcoming us so warmly and taking such good care of us during our snowy visit to Plitvick Lakes National Park!
If one had to walk to the park, it would be quite far, and there is nothing nearby in the way of restaurants or grocery stores. But the host compensated for this by driving us wherever we needed to go.
