The hotel has a quirky inspiring spirit about it that just makes you smile. The location is ideal to enjoy Silver City's notable art and shopping scene. The town seems to have a balance of affordability and ambition that supports a fun, creative environment. The Palace embodies that. While by no means a luxury hotel, the rooms are clean and comfortable and the service is warm and friendly. Breakfast is simple but adequate.
There is probably an opportunity for updating the rooms without losing the historic charm.

Great, very helpful friendly staff. Charming old hotel. Excellent location.
Communal breakfast area could be cleaner. Room could’ve used a deep cleaning. (But bed and bathroom were very clean.)

The hotel has charm; the bed was comfortable.
The bullet-like hole in our outdoor glass door was disconcerting. The shower head fell off its holder when it built up water pressure. Street racing after midnight (not the hotel’s responsibility but definitely their problem).
