I loved the location, being downtown. The old historic feel of the place was great.
The mattress was not very comfortable. The fridge ice maker did not work.

Spookiness of the hotel.. loved it.
I took a cold shower, but no hot water back in the day.. haha

This is a historic hotel. Sure it’s old with creaky floors and a sort of permanent musty smell. But it is clean, and the staff are nice. Moreover, the lobby has sitting areas for people that want to talk, read books, play cards, or play a game of chess. You know, stuff we used to do before the Internet. And yes, they do have WiFi if you so choose to use it.
Parking is on the street which means that sometimes you have to drive around to find a spot. But that can be true for a lot of businesses in the area.

I wanted to love this historically old hotel but I did not. In fact we questioned about staying the night. We actually met a previous guest and she encouraged us not to stay.
The uncomfortable bed…we both sunk in a hole in the middle of the mattress. The pretty much indifferent staff. The tubs in the hallway for rainwater collection. The moldy old smell. Very poor WiFi.
