Stunning Maida Vale Apartment

Muy cómodo, tranquilo y cerca de una estación de metro.

Por poner una pega…el primer día no funcionaba el agua caliente ni calefacción pero nos lo arreglaron rápidamente, así que, respondieron muy rápido a nuestra petición.

The location was great, really close to the tube station, the apartment is really nice and well equipped. We had enough towels and helpful host.

There were only two bar chairs but four of us so couldn’t sit all together, we had an issue with check in as the check in is from 16 and we marked our arrival at that time but the keys werent there and we spent 45minutes more waiting but were in a rush because of the concert. Also the lock was stucked one morning and waited 2 hours in the apsrtment to be fixed.

This is a lovely, spacious flat in a very quiet, family friendly neighborhood. I would have felt comfortable with my 12 and 14 yo walking to and from the tube and shops alone. The tube station is only a five minute walk and that tube line, the Bakerloo Line, is extremely convenient to many attractions as well as an easy connection to several other lines. Further, there is a large park less than half of a block away from the flat. We were pleasantly surprised by the converter power strips available in both bedrooms and the living room as they accommodated UK, EU and American plugs. Saved us $$ as we expected to buy UK plugs.

My first impression of the flat was visible crumbs and dirt on the counter. My husband also noted whiskers in the bathroom sink - and he had not shaved. A number of items - mostly decorative-have been removed since the listing pictures. Understandable if the owner wanted them or if they broke but they should be replaced with something similar or the listing photos should be updated. Functionally light bulbs need to be replaced and the table and chair on the balcony need to be replaced. The hot and cold on the bathroom sink are labeled incorrectly. And the hot water is quickly scalding hot. Should add a drying rack for clothes. We mainly booked a flat for laundry facilities but were hampered by the need to dry most items in the very slow combined washer/dryer. A couple logistical notes - there is a light switch in living room for front bedroom. I thought all the lights in that front bedroom were out until we tried that switch. We also had a problem with the washing machine until someone was sent to help and located the breaker - cabinet to the left of the stove.

Appartamento molto grande, la posizione è molto comoda a 2 minuti a piedi dalla metro e dalle stazioni autobus. Il quartiere è molto tranquillo. L’Host è stato gentile, ma all'inizio abbiamo avuto qualche problema con la consegna delle chiavi all'arrivo. Purtroppo c'è stato un loro errore perchè io avevo richiesto espressamente un nuovo codice prima della partenza (dato che mi era stato dato il luogo di ritiro delle chiavi a un'ora di distanza dalla casa). Quando siamo andati a ritirare le chiavi al market vicino casa invece risultava un codice errato, e non riuscendo a metterci in contatto con la struttura siamo riusciti ad entrare solo dopo 3 ore ( sottolineo in mezzo alla strada con 2 bambini)siamo riusciti ad entrare solo grazie all'aiuto di un vigilante del quartiere che è riuscito poi a mettersi in contatto con il ragazzo dell'addetto alle pulizie che era li, e che tra l'altro è stato carinissimo e gentilissimo e che ancora ringrazio tantissimo.

Da migliorare la pulizia, e andrebbe fatta un pò di manutenzione. E' un vero peccato perchè l'appartamento è veramente bello ma molto, molto trascurato. Non è valorizzato come meriterebbe. Un vero peccato.
