Rare London Flat Sleeps 7

The flat itself has potential and the location was convenient. The apartment appears renovated and the space was suitable for a larger group.

Communication with the staff was difficult throughout the stay, as most replies were extremely brief and not especially helpful. We also arrived very late on the first night (around 11pm) and asked whether there could be any flexibility regarding the cleaning fee since the flat was effectively unused that evening, but this was dismissed without much discussion. When we arrived, the lockbox was completely open, which felt unsafe and unprofessional from a security perspective. We were told it was probably the cleaner’s fault. The property was also advertised as having 2 bathrooms, however in reality there was only 1 bathroom available, which was inconvenient for a group of 7 people. We booked the flat for 7 people, yet the sofa bed had not been prepared with bedding or linen, so we had to set it up ourselves late at night. The sofa bed was also extremely uncomfortable. Although the flat looked clean in the photos, two of the carpets were very dusty and dirty. There was also a noticeable old/mouldy smell throughout the flat, which would likely improve with better ventilation before guests arrive. For 7 people staying 4 nights, only 3 toilet rolls were initially provided. When we asked for more, we were told where the storage room was so we could collect them ourselves, rather than this being handled proactively. We were not given any instructions regarding rubbish disposal or the outdoor bins, so we were left unsure how to manage waste during our stay. The outdoor areas also needed better maintenance. The side entrance to the ground-floor flat was dusty and had soil and cat faeces nearby. The garden area accessed through the balcony door was not well looked after, with litter outside, and the balcony door itself felt old and not especially secure.
