Appartement d'exception au cœur de Cahors

The space was ample in most rooms, and the terrace overlooking the city was a plus (although we were not able to utilize it ourselves).

One of the rooms with a double bed was too small for the bed, making it difficult to get to the far side of the bed. The apartment is at the top of three flights of steep stairs, which were particularly scary on the way down.

The location of the apartment is perfect. Cahors is not a large town, but the apartment was centrally located so we were able to access a supermarket and the restaurants, shops and sites very easily. The apartment is also not very far from the train station, possibly a 10-minute walk and is easily findable. Accessing the apartment is via keypad, and then a key safe. Details of which are provided by the apartment owner before arrival. The apartment is large and spacious with three comfortable bedrooms - two double and one single, lounge area and kitchen with everything there that you could want for your stay. There is also a small terrace accessed via a staircase from within the apartment. The views are fabulous.

The apartment, being on the top floor of the building, is accessed via several sets of old wooden stairs, and there is no landing where the apartment is situated and so you enter the apartment from the stairs themselves and it is quite a high final step. So this apartment may not be suitable for elderly people, or people with mild disability, or anybody unfit! The shower was also a problem for us as the shower head sits straight upright in the holder, unable to be moved or directed in any way so it sprays straight out and hits the back wall of the bathroom. It may have been user error but even with the instructions we found the heating thermostat difficult to understand and use.

he apartment was really good and in a fantastic location. We missed a funnel to make filter coffee and there was no toilet paper in the apartment upon arrival. However, we managed to get some before the shops closed. All in all, a really good stay that we would recommend to friends.
