Five Churches View apartments

Wonderful location close to the centre of Haarlem. Beautifully decorated, with real character. Everything you need for a comfortable stay. Great furniture for relaxing in front of an open window. Shops are close for provisions, with secure parking for cars and bikes. The host was very welcoming, giving recommendations and a supply of coffee pods(vital fuel 😃). We would definitely come back.

There are some steep stairs to the top apartment, which was not an issue at all for us, but some may need to know this. The host did offer assistance with bags, but not needed.

Beautiful big apartment that had all the little touches we needed. The location is perfect, five minutes to the centre of town, Haarlem itself is a beautiful city and we loved discovering all the local cafes, restaurants and shops as well as renting bikes for a trip to the beach at Zandvoort and the Amsterdamse Waterleidingduinen, both easily reachable in under half an hour. Amsterdam itself is only 15 minutes by train so easy to get to, and lovely to escape to Haarlem at the end of the day! Something to note if you're travelling in summer - the apartment is not air conditioned and got pretty hot during the heatwave while we were there. There was a good fan and we managed it by keeping curtains and windows closed during the day but something to note for anybody who might struggle. Otherwise we loved it and would certainly stay again.

Full of Dutch charm this was a super nice top floor studio. Great location, a stone’s throw away from the historic centre of Haarlem and convenient parking. Very close to three grocery stores. The hosts were excellent. Debbie met us and even carried my wife’s bags up the two steep stairs. We managed the stairs really well despite being steep and we are both in our seventies. You just have to be careful and take your time.

The lounger and chair were funky but hard to get comfortable on. A sofa would have been better. It was a little hot sometimes (temperature was in the mid 20’s for part of our stay) but they have an amazing fan to cool the room.

The spacious room and large modern bathroom, the central location, the great view on the church towers and Haarlem and the friendly host.

I slept on the top floor on the street side and the street noise, especially at night, is really loud. The traffic (especially buses and scooters) make it a really noisy flat, so you could not sleep well. I think it is really necessary to either replace the current glass or to put a second window behind the first one, like it is in the bathroom. It was very hot in the room at day. Darkening the windows was not good possible, so you wake up very early from the sunlight and ofcourse because of the noises.
