"We stayed at the Super Hotel twice (in Hakodate and Yamagata), and it was consistently clean and well-maintained. The staff are always friendly, and having an on-site onsen is a perfect way to relax at the end of the day. The breakfast was also delicious. We highly recommend this hotel to anyone!"

It is a 10-minute walk to both the bus station and JR station. The room is equipped with a pin-code lock, so we just need to key in the passcode to enter and exit instead of using an electronic key card. This makes it very convenient, as we can go out anytime without worrying about not having enough access cards. The onsen is good, the bed is comfortable, and the breakfast is good.
The only downside was our experience with the counter staff. We arrived early at around 9:00 a.m., before the check-in time, and went to the counter to store our luggage. We planned to visit Yamadera and return in the evening to check in. After storing our luggage, my son had an issue with his SIM card, so we waited in the lobby while he tried to fix it before heading out. While we were in the middle of fixing the issue, the counter staff suddenly came and spoke to us loudly, asking us to go to a café to fix the SIM card instead. This was quite a culture shock for us, as we did not see any problem with standing in the lobby, which has never been an issue in other countries we have visited.

I love the hotel's location—super convenient. Unfortunately, the onsen was out of service when we got there. However, the staff was so nice to recommend us for the onsen nearby.

“Eco” hotel with tiny rooms, tiny bathrooms, no maid service without an extra fee, many rules and not a great breakfast. I put it on the list places not to stay in the future.
