Carraig House

V quiet location, private and safe parking. Nice view of green field out the window and even a vintage John Deere passed up the road. A decent sized TV (you'd be surprised how many places have tiny TVs!) Decent shower, loads of towels - another thing that can be scarce elsewhere. V warm, comfortable and a well fitted kitchen. Lovely job.

Spotless and very comfortable

Na, the only thing that would have made our stay even better was to be left a small drop of milk in the fridge for tea/ coffee.

Carraig House is fabulous pace to stay if you like peace and quiet and fresh air. The accommodation is appointed to a very high standard and it's so spacious that it feels like the guest has the same amount of space as if at home. Having a separate livingroom and kitchen is not the norm in my experience of staying away in this of accommodation. A washing machine is a good extra for anyone planning to stay for several days.

There wasn't much that I disliked. When I, who had travelled a long distance to enjoy the local area arrived, it would have been a nice touch to have a little more in the way of a snack left for the guest. It's spacious, modern accommodation, but "the icing on the cake", pardon the pun, would have been perhaps a couple of scones, a little dairy spread and a few portions of jam. I understand that guessing at people's dietary requirements today came be impossible, but I hope there are some little snacks to be chosen from nowadays that would be pleasing to most.

It was a proper home and all details considered.. It was brilliant!
