Located in the historical Tibbe District of Downtown Washington, Missouri, the Cedar Haus is a grand 3 story home for family and friends to gather.

Bring your mom and sisters for a wine country getaway, ride the Katy Trail, or celebrate a wedding at one of the nearby wedding venues. The Cedar Haus is in the heart of WashMo and Missouri wine country and less than an hour from St. Louis.

Situated in the middle of Downtown WashMo, the Tibbe Flat is the second and third floors of the renovated 1908 Cedar Haus. With 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, kitchen, dining, and 2 living areas, it sleeps a total of 12 people over the 2 levels.

Over a century old, the fireplaces (nonworking), doors, woodwork, and hardwood floors have been refurbished, adding a beautiful charm to this brick home.

In the 1930s, the home was made into a 2-family house, and it was kept that way when recently restored. Every effort was taken to soundproof the stairs and floor between the main and second level, but some sounds (i.e. tromping on the stairs or the accidentally slammed door or guests being a little loud in their conversations) will still filter through the hardwood floors.

MAIN LEVEL

The Main Level of the Cedar Haus is the Garden Flat and is not included in this listing for the Tibbe Flat. If you would like to book both flats together, please see the listing for the whole Cedar Haus.

SECOND LEVEL

Up a flight of over 100 year old steep stairs, the upper levels are accessed from the porch through door B, as the house is two separate family units.

The second level has its very own living area with queen sofa sleeper, flat screen TV, large dining table that seats 8 people, and a gorgeous fully equipped kitchen. The spacious kitchen is updated and everything you need, including your choice of coffee brewing: drip, Keurig, or French press.

The master bedroom has a queen size bed and an en suite bathroom with an incredible subway tiled shower. This level also has a second bedroom with a queen size bed and another full bathroom near the kitchen area.

THIRD LEVEL

Up another set of restored stairs is a sitting area with a queen sofa sleeper and the third and fourth bedrooms, each with a queen size bed. The third bathroom is on this level and has the largest of the subway tiled showers as well as the original cast iron clawfoot soaking tub.

BALCONY

The large balcony is off the second level, with a view of downtown building rooftops and steeples. The backyard is included with the Tibbe Flat and is accessed from the driveway.

LAUNDRY

There is a washer and dryer in the master suite on the second level.

* Base rate is for (6) six people, additional charges for the doggies and extra people
* There are security cameras on the porch, backyard, and garage.
* We monitor noise levels inside after 10pm with a noise sensor. This does not record anything, it only measures decibels and will alert us if it is over 80 decibels during quiet hours of 10pm to 7am. Please respectful of the neighbors.

🐶 Pre-approved dogs only, dog rate is $25 per night per dog plus taxes.

- If competing at Purina Farms, please inquire about the Purina Farms dog rate
- The dog rate applies to ALL dogs on property, even those you choose not to bring inside the home

💳 Credit card must be on file in case of damages. We will send you an email to authorize a $1 hold after your booking is confirmed. This hold begins 3 days before your arrival and is released 3 days after departure if there is no damage, no excessive cleaning needed, and no house rules are broken.

🚗 Drivers license will be required with our signed guest agreement after you book, along with a selfie holding your photo ID

🆔 We will perform a Guest ID verification securely through our payment processor after you book. The main purpose is to make sure no one has stolen your credit card and used it without your permission.

You can purchase travel insurance for your reservation! The standard policy covers quite a few reasons for cancellation and applies to your whole traveling group.

Note that all new reservations have the option of purchasing a Cancel For Any Reason insurance policy besides the standard travel insurance policy. You can purchase this when you make your reservation with us, and the insurance is automatically connected to your stay.

CANCELLATION POLICY

If you cancel before 45 days of arrival, you receive a full refund of your deposit, less a cancellation fee. If you cancel within 45 days of arrival, there is no refund.
