Excellent home, excellent location, excellent host

Location was great, great view and easy walk to the shops. The house itself was great, comfortable for the 6 of us, had everything you need.

Only suggestion is another mirror in the house other than the bathroom e.g in one of the bedrooms

Lovely kitchen and living area and comfy beds

Access up steps was difficult for elderly parents and impossible for anyone with disability as even steps to other side of house were steep and had no hand rails No milk in fridge only a few tea bags Watered down soap in bathroom and when you’re paying nearly $800 for two nights it seems miserly. Host told us that towels were still damp in laundry but there were still towels in cupboard definitely not a top notch accomodation

Disappointing

Quiet except for am

Hard access to door. Steps with no railings. A bit far from town. Not well equipped. No linings in indoor trash+ had to use our own plastic bags). Had to have the caretaker come over to start WiFi. Could hear the caregiver downstairs in the am.

Close to town

BBQ was beyond filthy, to which the host blamed previous guests. Sorry, this does not cut it as although guests should in theory keep it clean it should be checked and cleaned after every checkout. Suggested we clean it with water and paper towel. it needed serious full clean not a bit of paper towel. No hand soap in the house, no soap in bathroom. Host accessed house while we were inside without asking or letting us know she was inside. Very unprofessional and unacceptable. A phone call or a knock on the door would have been appropriate. Host had a big hand written list of do nots on the table. But said it wasn't aimed at us. Most of which was aimed at cleaning up. We paid a huge cleaning fee as part of our Booking. However stilll as would expect, we left all dishes washed and put away. No Rubbish bin provided in the house, apparently to stop cockroaches. Instead a cardboard box was provided to put on the floor. How on earth will an open cardboard box do better than an actual bin with a lid. Every single bed in the house was sunken and VERY soft. Leaving no option for anyone who NEEDS a firm non sunken bed for bad back and hips. This resulted in my husband and I needing to sleep in separate beds to attempt to sleep. Needless to say my back and hips were crippled when we left. Beds suitable for kids and people with zero need for firm supportive bed. 3 nights of crap sleep for both of us in separate beds. Path up to the 2nd story needs to be fixed as is dangerous. A torch is not a substitute. Overhanding wooden beam on edge of path needs cutting to not jut out. Very easily hit your head if not careful. Car parking is a juggle

The home is spacious clean and very comfortable beds. The shower was amazing and the location is so central. Perfect stay and amazing property owner 👍👌

Misleading description

Clean

Access could easily hit head on corner of house and steps very rough.. house was damp and very hard to heat (due to damp room), description said milk and washing powder to get you started included.. I text the owner to ask where it was and she phoned me and was rude and went on about how little she makes and how busy she is and how hard it would be to leave milk and washing powder.. I suggested she get in touch with booking.com to amend the description as if I had of known it wasn’t included I would have bought it. She complained about the rubbish other people leave, however there were no rubbish bags.. made the stay very uncomfortable, especially after that conversation.

Great value for money, awesome location, the place was set up for comfort, would highly recommend.

It was dark when some of our party arrived and they found it was difficult to find the place as it is down a long driveway amongst a group of houses, lighting on arrival was not great.

Beautiful home

The house itself was beautiful. Bedrooms were comfy and amenities were fabulous. Had everything we needed for a large family over a long weekend. Price was very reasonable too.

Parking was tight as people staying downstairs had two vehicles also. We had to park flush with the wall which was a hassle to load and unload people and luggage out of vehicles. Also, entrance to upstairs is hazardous with rock steps, jutting wood off the corner of house, no hand rails on either entrance side and overhanging tree crowding footpath to main entrance.

Very clean & close to town. Communication with the owner was very good.

Price of the accommodation for what you got. Very poor lighting at night for the rock steps from the driveway up to the front door. Pot plant was placed in the middle of the deck to cover over hole in the deck. This also lead to someone kicking the pot in the dark. It was not stated that one of the beds were in the hallway. Maybe a curtain to give some privacy would be worth looking into. No WiFi.
