Albergo Viola

First I accidentally booked the wrong dates but they were nice enough to let me switch. I had originally planned to only stay for one night so I checked out and went to Pompeii and Herculaneum, which are only a short drive away. At the end of the day I decided to stay in Naples one more night and I booked another room at the same place. The first night I arrived much later then I expected but it was no problem as they have a 24 hour front desk. My first impression was not great because the rooms are in a different building then the front desk. We exited the lobby and went down the street just a few doors. I was given a key ring with a physical key and I swipe card. I used the physical key to unlock the main door. The lobby I walked into felt a little sketchy. The building itself has an elevator but it doesn't stop on the 2nd floor which is where the rooms are. Luckily it's only the 2nd floor. As I went up the stairs I wasn't very hopeful but when I got to the 2nd floor there was a sliding glass door which I used the swipe card to open and which led to a clean and modern lobby which had a number of rooms off of it. The rooms were well appointed, comfortable, and the AC worked really well. On both nights I was easily able to find free street parking right out front of the hotel. On the first night I asked the man at the front desk if he had any hot water, which he did not. He did offer to make some in his microwave but I turned him down. On the 2nd night, after I went to my room he brought over an electric kettle that he found even though I hadn't asked about it again. He simply remembered. I had also lost my phone charger and he gave me one from the front desk. I think he meant for me to keep it but I returned it anyway. There was also a supermarket right across the street and next door to that was a store that kind of sold everything. I was able to buy a new charger, a kettle, a bathing suit, and a notebook for relatively cheap.

Situation pratique, proche de la gare et de l'aéroport. Grande chambre, sans aucun charme, salle de bain peu pratique. Propreté moyenne.
