S`ekar Pinang Langkawi

Beautiful property, wonderful staff and very peaceful surroundings but a short drive away from cenang and main tourist spots. Very well decorated and super friendly and helpful staff to make you feel at home. I had originally planned to stay in one of the luxury resorts but ended up extending my star twice!

The property is a haven and a pocket of tranquility from the Phuket-like centre. Slightly out of the way and we hired a car for this reason. Roads were narrow and surrounded by rice paddies.the accommodation is within the jungle and you could hear the sounds of animals and insects at night. Our property was very clean and tastefully decorated, with a lovely lobby. No issues with mosquitoes or creepy crawlies. Breakfast was beautiful and tasty. Sham even made a packed breakfast for us on a day we left early for an excursion. The thing that made the place special for us was actually the hospitality and friendliness of Sham and his staff. They were extremely helpful and nothing was too much trouble for them. The owner is very lucky to have Sham manage their hotel.

Need your own transport, but driving around Langkawi is relaxed and stress-free.

This is a magical place. A mini resort in the middle of the jungle. You will stay in a bungalow-type apartment, with a living room, a bedroom, and a spacious bathroom. The common area consists of a big lobby with several couches and sofas, and from there, you access a patio with grass, sunbeds, and a pool. Besides other guests and staff, there is no one else around, just you, the pool, and tall trees, bushes, occasionally lizards, frogs, birds, and even monkeys. The biggest impression is the silence and the surrounding greenery. A truly magnificent experience. If you plan to go outside the resort, the car-sharing apps like Grab work fine. Overall, if you are coming to Langkawi, don't miss your opportunity to experience this. Hosts are responsive; they would help you with anything you need (they helped us book a boat tour).

I've read the comments that the breakfast here is amazing - as a traveler from Europe, I find it to be modest. Most of it was sweet, you would need to get your protein elsewhere.

Cozy stay, nicely decorated with a nice swimming pool. Very quiet, far from city and noise. Facilities are clean and well maintained.

Before arrival booked an extra bed and confirmed through booking app. At arrival manager informed us it was not available because the manager before left but this is not relevant for Customers, they should keep the promises done. After insisting 3 times, a old bed was brought to the room and charged as agreed in the platform. No food available for dinner and lunch, had to order from outside. Breakfast is very poor, only omelet can be asked, fried eggs cannot because they don't know how to make them. To have bread you have to go to the kitchen and ask multiple times and employees are sit doing nothing. Definitely, I will not recommend. No fruits available, no bread.
