Unit C - The Carlsbad Beach Villas were completed in 2006. The Beach Villas are 3 completely private condominiums. Units A, B & C are fully furnished short term rentals each of which have a large private 2 car garage, laundry, and sun deck. The location is perfect for the beach and Village experience. Carlsbad’s best beach voted in Americas Top 20 Beaches is located directly in front with easy access. This beach has beautiful white sand, lifeguards in the summer, bathroom facility and fresh water showers. Perfect location for families with small kids. We loved the garage parking that fit our minivan and the short walk to the beach. Washer and dryer was a plus! A short walk to 7 eleven. Grocery store Smart and Final was 5 minutes away

Conveniently located less than a block from the beach. Quiet neighborhood. Property management was great. Appreciate the beach towels and chairs and wagon that are provided. The master bathroom was stocked with cotton pads, qtips, and cotton balls. Only feedback is that the floors and carpet runners were very dirty. Within minutes of walking on the floor with bare feet our feet were nearly black. A mop was located in the garage by the washer and we mopped the floors.

We loved the location. Half a block to the beach/promenade, walking distance to downtown stores, restaurants. We took the Coaster to downtown San Diego. We could have gotten off at any of the stops in between there and Carlsbad to explore instead of dealing with parking. Short drive to Oceanside and other towns. Garage, washer/dryer were a big plus. We actually were able to extend our stay by four days. Rene got back to us quickly when we had questions. Highly recommend Unit C. Thank you Rene. See you next year.

We really enjoyed the location and the two bedroom unit was just right for us. Bonus was the garage and the washer/dryer. Loved being close to the promenade, village activities, restaurants and the Coaster. Was great to walk where ever we wanted to go. Rene was an excellent host. Very responsive.

Location close to village and short walk to beach

Sinks and toilets were clean. But so much grime on the baseboards, walls, door handles, light switches, dust bunnies floating on the walls. Lightbulbs out. Floors gave us dirty feet. We were worried about bed bugs. We found some dead insect carcasses inbedded in the king mattress. No timely response from the owner and nowhere to go so we remade the bed and hoped that everything was dead. It turned out OK, but both of the mattress covers on that bed were filthy, and even though the sheets were clean, we were grossed out to be sleeping on top of someone elses old, dried bodily fluids. Everywhere we turned, we kept finding neglected cleaning. The dirtiness put a damper on enjoying our time at the beach. 5 of the 6 beach loungers were broken. They left us 4 beach towels, but one was shredded. The whole house is mismatched second-hand furniture. We accidently knocked over a lamp which broke part of the base off, still workable, not noticeable and the not matching lamp on the other side of the bed had the same issue. We kindly informed the landlord and he charged us an extra $150. So many disappointments to what should have been a nice vacation. Pros: Location, beds, parking.

This is a beautiful property and very centrally located to the beach, shops, restaurants, train station and the Carlsbad Village. Loved having a garage so parking is not a problem. It has AC which was nice because it was warm. Kitchen had everything you need if you chose to cook. Beds were very comfortable. The only cons were that it really needs painting and the chair and couch in living room weren’t very comfortable.

The property is walkable to everything available in Carlsbad. Having a garage for our car was a great bonus. Be prepared to make early dinner plans as most restaurants around you close early. We would stay there again if we revisit Carlsbad.

Is just far enough off of Carlsbad Blvd to avoid noise but only a 2 minute walk down to beach. Access to restaurants, coffee shops and stores was an easy 5 minute walk.

The condo is in a great location to Carlsbad village and to the beach. The place was very clean and very comfortable. Having a garage is a nice benefit. We loved our stay at Rene's apartment. It was great having a garage for our rental car (parking so close to the beach can be a nightmare) and the apartment was the perfect base for my wife and kids to enjoy the beach and Carlsbad Village while I was away working during the day. This was a very nice condo in many ways. It was on second floor above its double garage/ laundry area. Just 3 units in the complex (with the other 2 unoccupied most of our stay. We were unit C), so nice and quiet, set back from the street a nice distance so heard no traffic--or even the ocean! --even though its only a block away. A small deck with a sliding double glass door to let in light attached to the living room area just to step out and check the weather or enough room for two to sit. Well stocked kitchen with newer appliances...all the basics except a blender. Very well lighted unit with more (and bright) ceiling lights in every room than I've seen in some time! Good comfortable king bed in large primary bedroom and two twin beds in the second bedroom . Nice dual sink primary bathroom and second full bathroom was dual door accessible to the second bedroom and served for "half bath" day use. Kitchen well supplied as well as a laundry in the double car garage.(We left our vehicle sit out in the long driveway). An oversized TV (for the size of the room) with full cable and streaming sites available. Another TV in the primary bedroom (we never used). Plenty of beach chairs for the short walk to the ocean (but beach umbrella lacked the "corkscrew" base to stick into the sand, so essentially useless.) Manager easy to contact with direct cell number, granting us prompt access to the adjacent storage building when we noted a few supplies needed. Deadbolt door lock to the condo requires a key so you cant lock yourself out!. Would definitely stay there again!!

The property was nice and in a good location, however, it was filthy. I didn't want to leave a bad review so I messaged the person managing this place and their response was "well, you can make me a list and I can send someone". I didn't want anyone coming to clean during our stay and we had already cleaned anyhow. I'm not sure who cleans this place but I wanted to let her know they're not doing a good job. She also wasn't apologetic for any of it even though we pay for a cleaning fee when we book. The kitchen was disgusting, The counters had food on them. There was a used/dirty glass cutting board left out, the rugs weren't vacuumed and had a ton of stuff on them (esp the one in the master bathroom), there was sand on the floor in the master bathroom from the previous tenants (we never even went to the beach during our stay), dust on most surfaces except the master side tables. The list goes on. I didn't expect to have to clean someone else's property but we did, including vacuum. I hope the sheets were at least changed. The manager was quick to respond to messages. We had asked if we could park in front of the garage when we got there (she responded quickly), thinking our long car wouldn't fit in the garage but it did so we ended up parking in the garage. The space fit what we needed. It was also close to a lot of restaurants.

We had a great week at Pine Ave. The condo is in the perfect location close to beach and Village. Communication was good when we had a problem with the water pressure in the master shower. Surprisingly quiet at night for how close to the Village you are.

We’ve gone to Carlsbad several times and stay at a different vrbo each time, usually due to availability. This property was very close to the beach, less than a 5 minute walk for myself and 3 kiddos 10-14yo. Beach view is always nice but this was so close and more affordable so worth it! Love the proximity to well, everything! Owner was very responsive to texts, though we didn’t need anything…only had a few questions. Stocked with everything we needed and the beach wagon was a total bonus!!
