EVEN Hotel Rochester - Mayo Clinic Area by IHG

I loved the Staff in particular. The people working there were so nice. Maddy and Affinity were two of the friendliest people I have met. There was "a Social" on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday evening: free drinks and food. This was such a kind gesture and meant an awful lot to me and I imagine the many other patrons staying in the hotel, the majority of whom, I presume, were in Rochester for health-related Mayo Clinic reasons.

Housekeeping was the bare minimum however worst was the attitude of one or two of the front desk people. My laundry did not come back and I was told to phone the laundry service myself (how do you know who to phone as a guest?). I was told the name to find there were 3 services of that name so had phone round them all to be told the hotel did not drop my laundry off in time and therefore it would not be done till next day which was too late as i needed to pack and fly. Eventually retrieved my dirty laundry myself with help of a friend who drive me there. Could not get a receipt for my bill as the printers not working. Reception often unmanned and they don't tell you to use the reception opposite (why not have a sign up. There were just several interactions where i basically felt like i was just a nuisance. Asked to speak with a duty manager and told there was not one on duty all week!
