Gion Suite

The location is fantastic! Right next to Yasaka shrine and just a short walk to Pontocho across the Kama river. The room is beautiful. Loved the soaking tub. Loved that my son had a little private nook for his bed.

The street can be quite noisy at all times.

Lots of space, great location, Family Mart is literally downstairs, nice big refrigerator. The detached, third party, underground parking ramp seems to be an unknown secret even though the place is next door to the shrine and all the activity. (Four people could stay here if you used the big couch, although you wouldn't have bedding for it), It was a lot of space for 3 people by Japanese standards for sure.

The hot water ran out at night and the lights at the intersection where it is located can be nerve wracking because its hard to tell when you have the right to turn (it is easier if you approach it from the back),

観光スポットや京都の中心街に近く、ロケーションが最高だった。 特に八坂神社や知恩院への初詣には京都一便利な場所。 お風呂が広くゆっくり浸かれた。 部屋も広く、キッチンも付いていて、長期滞在でゆったり過ごすには良い場所。

風呂のシャワーの水量が弱く、座って頭を洗える場所が無かった。 飲食用の広めのテーブルが無かったのと固定のソファが近すぎてTVが見づらかった。 密閉度が低いのか、外部の音が少し気になり、暖房をかけていても少し寒かった。

The apartment was spacious, beautifully designed and in a supreme location

The water pressure was horrible! It was like trying to take a shower drop by drop. Owners were informed and did nothing to fix this problem (asked for our understanding because probably the building's faulty system). Furthermore, there was no hot water! We opened the water heating system as shown in the guest manual, but it didn't work(!). Also, when we arrived late the first night, the water heating system was off so we had to turn it on and wait, although sadly that didn't help either....
