Lots of space for two families. Plenty of crockery and cutlery and a large table for us all to sit at in addition to lots of sofas. The ping pong table provided hours of entertainment and despite the cold weather, we braved the hot tub! Lots of games also. Plenty of parking and beautiful views across Fowey and a very short (steep) walk into the town. The hosts were very good at responding to any queries and the information provided beforehand was very useful…especially about where to park on arrival.
Don’t let any of the following put you off, but I think it’s worth being aware of. The property is looking tired…it does have a wow-factor but is not a ‘luxury’ property. The bathrooms need re-sealing and higher kitchen shelves need a good clean. The whole property desperately needs sound-proofing. You’d think there was no separation from the master and room below. There is only a locked door separating the multi-bed room from an adjoining rental and so all can be heard. On the first night, the heating was not working in the main part of the property which proved for a very cold night, not helped by the fact that the windows and frames in the master are gappy allowing the wind to blow through. The shower-room by the boot room is in need of an upgrade especially as this is the only stand-alone bathroom. (A door from the multi-bed room or another bathroom is needed.) Some contradictions re’ WiFi codes and what to do with rubbish need resolving.
