About this house rental

✔Beach! ✔Downtown! ✔Restaurants/Bars! ✔Bike Path!

Island Grove is the place to be, tennis and in proximity to the Island-favorite Morning Glory Farm and the bike path to Edgartown Village, and South Beach.

Our home features four bedrooms (king, queen, two twins & Adult Bunk Beds which sleeps up to 10 adults), deck w/awning, A/C, and an easy bike ride to town or beach. Quiet, relaxing and close to the best of Edgartown and the Vineyard.

We provide bed linens and bath towels (many don't).
The space
Welcome to your Vineyard vacation to our cozy, comfortable saltbox-style, air-conditioned home with wide variable-length pine flooring, exposed beam ceilings, and two decorative fireplaces.

Walk along a wooded path that goes from our backyard to Morning Glory Farm the Island's best farm stand, that includes breakfast sandwiches, coffee, baked goods, meats, dairy products, and prepared foods, the bus stop, and the bike path to town, and beach.

Use the outdoor shower for those summer mornings or after returning from the beach. Enjoy your meals on the covered back deck and cook your fresh seafood dinner on the Weber gas grill.

We try to make your vacation as easy as possible! In the shed, you will find beach chairs, beach umbrellas, beach toys, a cooler on wheels, and a bicycle pump for your use. You are free to use the large shed to store your bikes, kayaks, and other gear.

Inside, we have wireless high-speed internet, cable television with Netflix, and a Blu-ray player on a 4K 55" TV. There is another TV upstairs connected to a Blu-Ray player with "Smart" Features (Netflix). Both TVs have extra HDMI ports if you want to bring your own devices. A mobile electronics charging station is set up on a first-floor desk for charging all of your laptops, tablets, and phones (bring your cables - we have ten powered USB ports available). There is an iPad available for your use. We have a library of dozens of DVD's for your entertainment, including lots of kids' movies. Everything is kept cool by a state-of-the-art mini-split system A/C system, or open the windows and doors to enjoy the island breeze.

The first floor has a living room with a large decorative Dimplex fireplace, dining area, kitchen, half bath, and bedroom with a queen-size bed. A spiral staircase leads to the second floor, which has a roomy master bedroom with a king-size bed and a decorative fireplace. The second floor also has a full bathroom and a third bedroom with two twin beds.

If you are traveling with small children, we offer a pack 'n' play and high chair/booster seat at no additional charge. We have stools in both bathrooms so that little one can reach the sinks.

Appliances include microwave, electric range/convection oven, refrigerator, garbage disposal, toaster oven, Keurig, and drip coffee maker, blender, electric hand mixer, and a hairdryer.

It's a comfortable bike ride (under 15 minutes at a leisurely pace along the bike path) to downtown Edgartown and South Beach. Two tennis courts are available within walking distance (five minutes). "Wildest Dreams" is the perfect home for a family vacation in a beautiful, quiet neighborhood on paved roads.

We are accessible by email and cell phone, and a local caretaker is available for any urgent issues that may arise.
Other things to note
The beaches in Edgartown and Oak Bluffs do not require beach passes or parking permits. This includes South Beach, Fuller Street Beach, State Beach, and the "famous" Ink Well.

Martha's Vineyard is one of the world's best fishing locations. Fish from the surf, charter a boat, or walk along some of our fresh and saltwater ponds. The annual month-long Striped Bass and Bluefish Derby in the early fall is renowned as one of the ultimate tests of fishing prowess.

This was perfect place to spend two days and night on the Island. The central location was ideal and the proximity to Morning Glory Farm made breakfast and shopping a breeze! The accommodations were prefect for two couples and our two children (under 2 and 4 years old). I highlight reccomend

This beautiful home easily fit our group of 6. The homeowner was quick to respond to questions and went above and beyond accommodating a couple requests we made. Great location as well.

I appreciate the attention to details in this home. It was very comfortable and had everything we needed (except toilet paper), which is common for the vineyard and we just didn’t plan well…lol. During our stay we realized how important it was to have a car because it is a hidden gem that is a little more than a mile from anything and Uber is expensive and not that reliable. Other than that it was fantastic

Our first visit to MV was hosted here. The location was very good - a 10 minute drive into downtown Edgartown, another ten minutes to Katama South Beach. The Morning Glory Farm store was three minutes' drive, right down the road. The house is in a subdivision of small new houses. The property is quiet, but close enough to neighbors that you can hear them if they are out on their decks playing music. Small lawns front and back, with a separate garage [not part of the deal] and a comfortable shaded back deck. Gas BBQ right next to the deck. The house itself is charming, if small. The kitchen was fine for us - simple and usable, not lux. [On our stay the fridge died. The owner acted swiftly and got a new one within a day. We were very grateful. ] Living-dining is fine too, with a big TV with lots of internet options. The biggest problem to the house was the bathrooms. There is one powder room on the ground floor and one full bathroom on the second floor. This made it tight for us. The bedrooms are fine, though for a house this big the principal bedroom was too big - the house would be more useful if it had another bedroom. The house is clean and in good condition, well maintained and pretty new. Wall mounted Mitsubishi-type AC units work well and make the house comfortable. The owner was very flexible - we had numerous changes to our arrival and departure times, which she accommodated with no fuss. And as noted above, she was very responsive to a problem with the house.
