Ballarat House

Great decor and nice and warm.

The house was very dark, better lighting would be good. The dishwasher didn’t work properly either. And the showers were not good.

Good location. Not too central, but easy access Nicely decorated Bigger than expected I would stay again

A bit too dark inside The shower I used was an electric wall box. Worked, but not the best Coffee machine didn’t work properly.

Good location for walking to the centre of Margate and close to the beach. Easy to head out to local restaurants.

Generally in a very poorly maintained state with damp patches on ceilings, leaking showers, dirty walls, a blocked kitchen drain , mould in the bathrooms, a broken window unable to be opened and stained bed linen on one of the beds when we arrived. The area itself is also quite dirty and run down (maybe typical for the town?) The booking team were responsive to the issues when raised but dealing with queries all weekend to get them resolved ruined the time away. Also note that the property is set across multiple levels with uneven stairs so easy to trip when moving around, and compounded by dim lighting in the halls/ stairwells.
