Mystay Hostel Nan

I booked the 4 people family room. We arrived with greeting from kind grandma. The check in was easy, she gives you keycard and key, showed you how the door works and we’re done. The main door has security lock, and you got your own room key separately. The room is on the third floor, clean, organise with separate bathroom and toilet - but you got the whole floor anyway so no problem on that front. The room is well soundproof from outside noises. I barely hear the raining outside when I was in the room. I found out it was raining when I take a trip to the toilet. The bed is great, soft sturdy and clean. The location is in the middle of everything. You walk less than 10 minutes to the walking streets and main temples. They have communal area down at the reception where you can eat, cook, watch TV and just spend time. Very cozy.

I couldn’t sleep much because I keep hearing noise from the rest of the beds (my family’s) each turns, and flip over you can hear clearly. I believe it’s because the room is not very spacious.

-little cozy hostel owned by a local elderly lovely couple. So welcoming and warm. -They own a shop next door which is convenient if any help needed. -Located in the city centre, shops and restaurants nearby. -Clean rooms and toilets, beds come with own curtain for privacy and electrical plug. -No shoes policy in room which is a plus point for us. -Free snacks and hot drinks (Milo, Nescafe) -Common area at lobby to hang around, with aircond too.

-Toilets wont be enough if the hostel is full. (one toilet and 1 shower on each floor) -Pillows a bit too low, need to be changed - we had neck ache the neck day. -Lots of mosquitoes in the common area

Hostel owners were very attentive, kind, and flexible. The whole place felt very homey and safe, even for someone like myself who has never traveled alone or stayed at hostels before this trip. Free drinking water, free self-serviced coffee, snacks, microwave, refrigerator, etc. Lobby of hostel sells ice cream and waffles – they were delicious! Couldn't recommend this place more!
