The place was really spacious, big two bathrooms, calm area and not noisy.

Breakfast was not we expected, could atleast a little bit of some cheese, ham, juice or maybe cereals and milk. No wine glasses that we could use either.

The location is the selling point for this apartment, closely followed by the size of the apartment. It stops there.

Where to begin… the communication with the host on check in day was confusing. We had arrived into Rome early and check in wasn’t until 3pm, however I contacted the host to enquire about checking in early who replied ‘not a problem, send me your WhatsApp & I will give the details so you can be independent & come & go as you please’ I then sent 3 messages through booking.com. No answer. I rang the number provided twice and they gave us a WhatsApp number to message. I then messaged through that and there was delayed responses, and then further calls to let us know we can’t check in until 3pm - which was not what they had said themselves in the first message. Anyway - we received the check in instructions at 2.55pm and we proceeded into the property At first glance it seemed very good, however on closer inspection and over our stay of 3nights it was obvious that the apartment had not been either cleaned, maintained or repairs taken place in a long time. The description said it had 4 beds, there was only 3 - so our 20 year old & 16 year old sons shared a sofa bed which was far from ideal & not as described. The main bedroom, not only did the window not have any curtains, it had only one outside shutter, meaning no privacy, and sunlight shining in throughout the heat of the day & also then light throughout the night. The fitted wardrobes/cupboards and general furniture throughout the property were grubby with paint peeling off them. The en-suite bathroom shower was unfinished below the shower tray, the toilet had plastic backing on the walls. The main bathroom, the shower leaked onto the floor. The kitchen counters looked dirty. And the breakfast ‘being included’ was a joke. For 5 people for 3nights there was 2 croissants, 3 little cakes & 5 packets of mini dry toasts.
