About this house rental
Enjoy beautiful Burnsall and the wonders of the Wharfe Valley from your base at the charming and comfortable Village Barn. Retaining much of the character and charm of its original 18th century construction, Village Barn comfortably accommodates up to 8 people with 2 double and 2 twin bedrooms and two large bathrooms on the 1st floor, all centrally heated. The ground floor has a spacious and comfortable lounge equipped with a log burner and a large, 8-seater dining room, also with a log burner. The younger set have their own TV/games room equipped with a Play Station 4 and a selection of games or use this space to watch a DVD or read a book in splendid isolation! The Barn has a well-appointed kitchen with a large induction hob and double ovens, perfect for cooking a large meal for friends and family. A Nespresso Virtuo coffee maker is provided for coffee lovers with pods available against a small donation to Mountain Rescue. A separate utility room accommodates a fridge, freezer, washing machine and tumble drier. Outside you will find a sunny barbeque area with outdoor seating. The Barn offers views over the village green and the River Wharfe to the fells beyond.
All within a short walk of the Village Barn is a wonderful pub, a gourmet café and a delectable ice cream kiosk. Across the iconic 5-arch stone bridge is an attractive green, perfect for a picnic and along the River Wharfe you will find a fantastic pebbly beach with shallow access to the river.
Situated on the banks of the River Wharfe, Burnsall is a delightful Dales village with a rich history and because of its picture postcard beauty, Burnsall attracts many couples looking for the perfect setting for their wedding and is also a dream holiday destination for families and a mecca for walkers, cyclists and anglers.

Superb location. The cottage has everything you need and more, including parking for two cars, which is a major asset in the village of Burnsall.The host responds to messages extremely quickly and is very kind and thoughtful. This was my second visit and I've already booked for 2027.Eileen.

Very comfortable and relaxing place to stay. A lot of thought and consideration has gone into making sure guests feel at home including a welcoming kit of essentials. Bedrooms are spacious enough to relax in away from communal spaces with modern shower room and ensuite bath. Separate dining room and games room are also both extremely useful. The host was very easy to deal with and no problems were encountered. We also found the comprehensive information folder very useful. We would have no hesitation in re-booking in the future.

The entire barn was super clean and very well equipped, making caring for a family of 5 children so easy. The location of the property is great, in an enchanting setting near to the river and adjacent to the village pub, where the other adults in our wedding party stayed.I can't thank our host enough for her kindness, patience and efficiency!

A lovely character barn conversion in the centre of Burnsall. Plenty of room in the property for up to 8 people and extremely well maintained and fully equipped,with a comfortable lounge and dining area. The house was furnished to a very high standard. A real bonus was the small snug/games room which was a fun area for our three year old grandson. There was a useful utility/boot room which was great for keeping dirty boots and wet coats out of sight. Property is pet friendly. The parking area in the front is quite tight for two medium sized cars but we were happy to leave one on the adjacent road. We stayed four nights at the property to attend a local wedding but the village of Burnsall is so well placed for many good walks we would like to return to see more of the area. We would highly recommend The Village Barn.
