About this house rental
Enjoy beautiful Burnsall and the wonders of the Wharfe Valley from your base at the charming and comfortable Village Barn. Retaining much of the character and charm of its original 18th century construction, Village Barn comfortably accommodates up to 8 people with 2 double and 2 twin bedrooms and two large bathrooms on the 1st floor, all centrally heated. The ground floor has a spacious and comfortable lounge equipped with a log burner and a large, 8-seater dining room, also with a log burner. The younger set have their own TV/games room equipped with a Play Station 4 and a selection of games or use this space to watch a DVD or read a book in splendid isolation! The Barn has a well-appointed kitchen with a large induction hob and double ovens, perfect for cooking a large meal for friends and family. A Nespresso Virtuo coffee maker is provided for coffee lovers with pods available against a small donation to Mountain Rescue. A separate utility room accommodates a fridge, freezer, washing machine and tumble drier. Outside you will find a sunny barbeque area with outdoor seating. The Barn offers views over the village green and the River Wharfe to the fells beyond.
All within a short walk of the Village Barn is a wonderful pub, a gourmet café and a delectable ice cream kiosk. Across the iconic 5-arch stone bridge is an attractive green, perfect for a picnic and along the River Wharfe you will find a fantastic pebbly beach with shallow access to the river.
Situated on the banks of the River Wharfe, Burnsall is a delightful Dales village with a rich history and because of its picture postcard beauty, Burnsall attracts many couples looking for the perfect setting for their wedding and is also a dream holiday destination for families and a mecca for walkers, cyclists and anglers.

Had the most wonderful stay in the village barn, Burnsall is a little piece of heaven , the immaculate house is the perfect place for a base to explore the dales , the host was lovely and very accommodating , it was exceptionally hot and she tried her hardest to source a fan for us , will definitely be back , there was 6 of us and a little dog , the house accommodated us very well with a lovely seating area outside with a barbecue. Easily fitted out large car in the drive and the other 2 cars parked down at the green which was a 1 min walk from the house .

Wonderful location of spacious cottage with everything visitors could require. Extremely welcoming and homely. Comprehensive instructions for all things needed. Have no hesitation in highly recommending the Village Barn.

What are fabulous property this was from the quality of the cutlery and crockery (we loved the cups) to the working wood burning stove, with wood and kindling supplied, to its position in Burnsall next to the quiet Red Lion pub to the little bench outside where you could see the little bridge over the Wharfe. And it was a bird lovers, paradise, with barn swallows and tree swallows and swifts swirling around amongst 15 other species. The thought that went into the organising and preparation of the prosperity was just superb. We loved every minute.

Superb location. The cottage has everything you need and more, including parking for two cars, which is a major asset in the village of Burnsall.The host responds to messages extremely quickly and is very kind and thoughtful. This was my second visit and I've already booked for 2027.Eileen.
