Well located

Quiet location in a lovely building within walking distance to Melun centre and the station to get to Paris. Nicely decorated, good bed and nice bedding. Good hot shower.

Slight damp smell in bathroom and a bit of a sewage smell in the main studio, which is probably a wider building issue. Kitchen area is very tiny. Fine for a short stay but would not want to cook big meals in it.

A wonderful apartment in an obscure location that requires lock-picking skills to enter.

The apartment itself was wonderful: spacious, bright and airy. The location was ONLY convenient because it was near a location where we could get a covid test for our flight 2 days later. There is NOTHING of interest in Dammarie-lès-Lys itself and it is VERY inconvenient for a visit to Paris.

Access to the grounds and apartment were something worthy of James Bond. The owners (who we never saw) sent us a video about how to get in, which included shots of buttons to push (without any hint as to where these buttons were). Once inside the gate the instructions said to go to Door R. Not one of the doors had any numbers on them. We're assuming they meant "Rear", so why didn't they say so. Then, once through the main rear door the piece de resisitance was attached to the lock on the door to the apartment itself: a complicated electronic gizmo that required entering 9 (yes 9!) different numbers, then turning the whole gizmo just so to open the door. AND, to close the door, you had to do the same dance all over again! What a nose bleed!

Clear instructions about how to enter the property are sent on the day of arrival by owner. Do know that a guest will not encounter the owner, everything is done via the digital world also the key of the apartment is digital in french! The apartment is modern styled with a brand new shower. Super clean! Comfortable bed. Fridge and kitchenette. Great french building with view to garden. Quiet at night. Great value for money!

There is no supermarket or breakfast restaurant in the near area.

Joli cadre mais des consignes complexes

Le cadre, le style bourgeois de l'appart et sa propreté, le sens professionnel de l'hôte

Les consignes pour pouvoir accéder au logement sont complexes et stressants. Il faut savoir que quand on a fait plusieurs kilomètres, on n'a pas trop l'esprit à ouvrir une application vidéo sur son téléphone pour pouvoir rentrer dans l'appart. Manque quelques étagères dans le placard.

Manque de communication des hôtes

Nous avions convenu de récupérer les clefs vers 16h30/17h, mais le mariage auquel nous assistions ayant pris du retard, nous n’avons pas pu venir à l’heure. L’hôte nous avait toutefois envoyé une vidéo laissant penser qu’un digicode permettait un accès autonome, donc nous ne nous sommes pas inquiétés. À 23h30, l’hôte nous a soudainement envoyé un message pour demander si nous avions récupéré les clefs, précisant qu’après 23h, il était « trop tard ». Nous avons immédiatement répondu, mais il n’a donné aucune suite. Pourquoi nous écrire après l’heure limite d’arrivée si aucune assistance n’était possible ensuite ? Et pourquoi ne pas nous avoir contactés plus tôt dans la soirée ? Face à l’absence de réponse, nous avons dû quitter le mariage précipitamment pour tenter de récupérer les clefs. Arrivés sur place, nous avons trouvé une grille fermée, sans digicode accessible ni information supplémentaire. N’ayant pas d’autre choix, nous avons été contraints d’escalader la grille pour atteindre le digicode. Une gestion déplorable, aucun suivi, et un stress inutile en fin de soirée. Ce manque total de communication et d'organisation n'est pas acceptable.

Un cadre d'exception

Le cadre de la Reine Blanche est exceptionnelle avec son parc boisé et bien entretenu. L'appartement est lumineux et spacieux pour 1 ou 2 personnes et la literie confortable. Le tout était très propre et les serviettes moelleuses. L'accès se fait sans problème avec les explications et vidéo données, lues et écoutées avec attention. Il faut contourner le bâtiment par la gauche pour trouver la porte d'entrée de l'immeuble bleue derrière. Tout était facile.

Je recommande

La literie très très confortable, la propreté, le calme de la résidence, son emplacement à 10 mn à pieds du tribunal et de la gare, la dosette de café qui m'a permis de me réveiller, la possibilité de cuisiner, la disponibilité de mon hôte.

La vidéo envoyée pour l'arrivée est bien mais le passage "dirigez vous vers l'entrée" mériterait une photo supplémentaire car il ne suffit pas d'aller tout droit il faut ensuite tourner à droite et en arrivant de nuit ce n'était pas si évident.

Manque poubelle salle de bain, pas de chauffage en arrivant, juste deux dosettes café dont une qui ne marchait pas. Bruit dans les couloirs car chambre en RDC
