HOTEL RESTAURANT LA COTE REVEE

Great small 10 room hotel right by the beach. Good restaurant, nice people.

Nothing we didn't like. Parking could be a problem in high season. The beach bar is a bit noisy with its drum/bass. ok by 10pm.

Everything was pretty good apart from the appalling pillows on the bed, they were large and full of concrete

The simplicity. The friendly and caring staff snd obviously the outstanding location on the seashore.

The hotel is in a spectacular location and has an excellent restaurant.

We were allocated our two rooms on arrival but when we went to them one of them had not be cleaned since previous occupancy. We spoke with a staff member who was abrupt and unapologetic. He set about getting the room ready and asked us to wait downstairs for it. There were other rooms available and we requested one of the them but were refused because ‘they were booked for others’ (we’d also booked several weeks in advance). The room was ready for us about 45 mins later. The rooms (especially one of them) were disappointingly small and were more hostel like with minimal accessories, a basic shelf beside the bed, and a minimal rail for hanging. One small towel per person, one mini soap bottle and a very tiny bathroom. We have paid similar prices (and less) in many other hotels and received much better quality of rooms and service. Later that evening the staff member offered us a bottle of wine to make up for arrival issues but never once apologised. However another staff member was very apologetic the following morning and was generous in making it up to us. It was just a pity her colleague didn’t make an effort just to be pleasant when presented with the problem as it was a disappointing start to the stay. Also it’s worth noting that that same bedroom (one with balcony) has no bathroom door - just a dreary shower curtain to screen the bathroom area from the bedroom. Again, not what you’d expect at the rates paid.
