About this house rental
The house is surrounded by greenery, in a very quiet position in Conca dei Marini, a town suspended between sea and land, just four kilometers from Amalfi.
In 2017 Conca dei Marini was elected the third most beautiful village in Italy.
The peculiarity of this house are the beautiful domed ceilings with original friezes from the 17th century.
Furthermore, from the terrace and the living room window, the view of the Gulf of Amalfi and the rocky walls above is enchanting.
Every window looks at the sea.
The terrace is equipped with a table decorated with ceramics, chairs and parasol straws.
The 3 complete bathrooms with shower are all new.
The house is on two levels and is composed as follows:
- a large LIVING ROOM with fireplace, with a dining area and a sitting area (with TV and a double sofa bed).
From here you access the terrace overlooking the sea
- a KITCHEN equipped with hob, oven, washing machine, toaster, fridge and all the necessary comforts;
- a DOUBLE BEDROOM with access to the sea view terrace and the bathroom.
- a complete BATHROOM with shower cubicle (accessible from the bedroom).
- a complete BATHROOM with shower cubicle near the kitchen.
On the ground floor there are fans available, an air conditioning system will be installed soon.
The second floor, which is accessed via a spiral staircase, is composed of:
- a LARGE ROOM with sea view with a double bed + a sofa bed and an additional pull-out bed (sleeps 4)
-a LOFT, which overlooks the living room, set up as a third bedroom: there is a French double bed.
- a small complete BATHROOM with shower cubicle.
The house is accessed via a short staircase from the PRIVATE CAR PARKING located on the road that leads from the center of Conca down to the sea.
The private parking includes a parking space for our other apartment nearby. If this is not used, you can park 2 cars, otherwise the second one is subject to a fee in the nearby square.
Going down, 2 flowered pitches are accessible, overlooking the sea, with tables, chairs and deckchairs. In particular, in the small square near the house we have recently placed a large wrought iron table with a ceramic top, in the shade of a large carob tree, with a view of the sea: it is the ideal place when it is hot.
The beach is located 700 m from the apartment and can be reached on foot via stairways surrounded by greenery and picturesque streets.

The house is equipped with air conditioning in every room
It is also equipped with a compliant heating system.
The cost is 2 euros per hour based on an hour meter: in the cold season 2 or 3 hours a day are sufficient, staying outside during the day.
Use of cot 20 euros.
The area is frequented by tourists throughout the year, even in winter, especially during the Christmas period.
A small supermarket (with home delivery service) reachable on foot in 10 minutes.
High speed fiber wifi Internet connection is available.
There are 2 bus stops within a 10 minute walk of the house, one towards Agerola and the other towards Amalfi and Sorrento.
Capri can be reached from the port of Amalfi or from the port of Sorrento.

So beautiful. Knew it was two levels didn’t know about spiral staircase. But was fine and worked out. Had a great time restaurants, pizzeria and bakery near by delirious. Host Francesca very helpful and so warming. We also loved the private transportation.

The view from the property is lovely and exactly as in the photos but the property is run down, broken bed frames, air conditioning only in one rooms( house is advertised as air conditioned- in high summer when it’s over 90 degrees with direct sun all day the house is unbearable hot, specially for sleeping).
The cleanliness was not great, we checked in and there was toothpaste on the faucets, a dirty fork on the kitchen floor and it was 6 pm and the cleaners were there when we arrived. The kitchen was infested with ants all over the walls and main food storage shelves. Come to find out from
Neighbors they were there all day trying to get the ants under control. There were so many ants that in the bathrooms when you stepped on the bath mat it became speckled with black from Anna’s in your feet, they were in some of the beds and we had them on our arms and let’s at times. The property manager told us the owner knew but had not wanted to hire professional exterminators and this had been a problem for over a year. The one air conditioning unit remote had no battery so we couldn’t turn it in until we got batteries from the property manager. The house has been advertised with a spa/ hot tub but there wasn’t one- the owner claimed it was a listing mistake. I booked in April and the listing end of July still showed a hot tub. The property manager gave us a can of ant spray and the owner tried to deny knowing there was an ant issue. It was a huge problem and daily. Not a great stay.

Pictures say it all. The kitchen is well equipped. There is a market in the town that is well stocked and has a nice deli section. The secure parking is easy to get into and provides peace of mind when travelling with a rental car. The only suggestion would be to have a booklet inside the house outlining the location of the market and nearby restaurant and perhaps instructions for operating the washing machine and stove.

The short version: we enjoyed our stay very much, and it's the view from the terrace that makes this villa so special. A longer version: While the property is comfortable and the owners very friendly and helpful, there are some details which could be improved. The bathrooms and plumbing are a bit old and tired, and the showers barely have any water pressure. One of the reasons we chose this property was that we wanted a bath for our baby daughter, but the bath was really just an odd deep spa bath sort of arrangement that didn't actually seem to work at all. The very narrow spiral staircase to the top floor was also a problem – not good for people with young children or accessibility issues. Overall, the furniture and decoration in the bedrooms was very old and tired and really could do with some updating. In fact, the place has such amazing potential – a refurbishment could turn it into five-star accommodation. Oh, and the parking area could be very difficult to use when there are other cars parked on the road – extremely difficult to find the space to manoeuvre in.
