Fair but disappointing due to not clean

I found the bell tent dirty and the gravel directly outside the tent was walked in which meant it was unpleasant under foot and dirty. The sides of the tent were dirty inside and it was unpleasant to be in due to being dirty .

Fantastic glamping pods in a lovely rural location.

Accommodation was great and in a lovely setting

The mood lighting in the bedroom is nice but it doesn’t really light the room up. Struggled to find things in our bag when it was dark. It would be good if the light was on a dimmer that could be adjusted.

Lovely clean site, great location - bit short on a warm welcome.

Great location for lots of lovely nearby places. Site is well looked after. Showers and bathrooms were spotless. I thought the provision of wifi was very thoughtful.

I booked and then found out later that the pods didn't have beds as advertised. The owner got in touch and explained they had decided to reduce the price and not include beds. She said that Booking.com hadn't updated its site accordingly. I wasn't especially happy and to her credit she offered to refund but I decided to press on. [Booking.com still says 1 futon bed] On the day of check-in, Booking.com sent me a notification that I could let the owner know when I'd be arriving. I did. It wasn't acknowledged. I turned up in torrential rain, parked and dashed around the site trying to work out where I was supposed to be. No one was there to meet me. Eventually, I looked back to messages some months earlier to find which tent I was stopping in, then worked out where to park etc. The tent was fine. I don't suppose it's easy to take down and clean but it was a bit mildewy around the top vents. I didn't bring cooking equipment and intended to just grab food on the go - but I brought teabags and was looking forward to sitting out with a cup of tea and a book and watching the sunset. Most campsites I have stayed at have very basic food prep area - sink, kettle, fridge. But - there was nothing to boil water with. Two days came and went and I didn't meet any campsite staff. To be fair, I left early in the morning and was out much of the day but if they had missed me they could have emailed me and asked me if everthing was alright. General signs and directions told you all the things that were expected of you, and what you had to do, and what you couldn't do. Alongside the lack of any welcome, it didn't make you feel especially at home.

A luxurious home from home, with beautiful peaceful views.

We absolutely loved our stay at Doxford Farm. We were welcomed by Katryna who took the time to talk to us about her families beautiful farm, and plans for their campsite. We were so incredibly impressed by the design and interior of the pods. Each created with such care and attention to detail. Not a thing missed, from the bathroom that felt like home, to the comfort of the beds, the layout of the kitchen and everything that was provided to make our stay luxurious. WE LOVED IT.

We wish we had stayed longer.

It is a fantastic location with everything you need for a relaxing break. The luxury Pod Nightfold was fantastic the best we've ever stayed in. It had everything you could need and more. Comfortable, cosy, well equipped, and incredibly well designed. A special mention for Katryna, who made us feel very welcome over the phone from her hospital bed. True commitment Katryna and we wish you a speedy recovery.

Tranquil and Peaceful

The bathrooms and the room were lovely and clean. We stayed in a bell tent and the beds were comfy and were equipped with everything we needed. The owners were friendly and responded quickly to all enquiries. Was close to Alnwick and the coast. Had a lovely weekend.

Glamping experience

This was a first time for us in a glamping pod - it was very luxurious and comfortable! The location was ideal for all the places in Northumberland I wanted to visit! Very good information available at the camping hut and ready meals available to save u cooking! Would definitely use again and very dog friendly-place for him to run around

Amazing Stay!

We have just returned from a two night stay in a Bell Tent at Doxford Farm Camping and we absolutely loved it! The location is great and the surrounding fields are just beautiful - the sunflowers were an added bonus! The tent was clean & tidy and had everything you need to bring comfort to an outdoor stay! Owners are so friendly & helpful too! We will definitely be back - thank you!

Superb

Great location and easy to get to, loved the bell tent we stayed in and the bathroom facilities were impeccable. Was fantastic to have use of the stove/firepit/BBQ and there were amazing stargazing opportunities for two nights of our stay.

Nothing really! A phone charging area could be handy but we actually really appreciated going off grid for a bit and appreciate this might not be the easiest thing to install.

Bell tents

We had fun staying in the bell tents. They were very comfortable and looked very stylish, they had a fire pit/bbq and picnic bench so had everything you needed. The washing facilities were of good quality and kept very clean. It was in a great location and I would highly recommend staying in them. Would go again 😃

Excellent stay in a beautiful bell tent at a wonderful location.

The bell tent was beautifully decorated, comfort was more than expected and the bathroom facilities were so clean and tidy which was again above what I expected. Owners are lovely, greeted us when we arrived and you can tell they really take care and pride in there property.
