The location was pretty by the river and mountains we would have liked to explore a little more. The room was big enough with a kettle and the best was comfortable (hard bed but thats what we like). Great pillows and curtains were dark. The waitress in the restaurant was lovely and did her best to set us up with everything.

In Georgia there is a lot of stray dogs, there was one particular dog here at the hotel. He barked and howled at every passer by and car all day, and all through the night, this woke us up 3 times during the night. The hotel was FREEZING, it seemed like we were the only guests and so we wore our coats to dinner and breakfast in the restaurant. Our room was heated with AC set at full power but the bathroom (despite having radiators which were all turned off) was icy and unpleasant, the bathroom also smelled of smoke in the evening. Unfortunately the worst part of the experience was the hotel only accepts cash. Which is a bit of an oddity and not one we were prepared for, one night is OK but if you are staying a week and dont know that, who has that much cash on hand when the nearest cash terminal is a long way off. We managed an international bank transfer which is holy unreliable in most circumstances (in fact still waiting for it to clear). The hotel needs to make it clear on booking.com that its cash only or allow people to pay through booking.com . It is 2021.
