About this house rental
We fell in love with this big, old house for beautiful features that just can’t be found in new construction: stained glass windows, inlays in the hardwood floors, glass doorknobs, and tall, intricate moldings along the baseboards, entryways, and fireplace. One step inside and you’ll fall in love too.
The main floor consists of living room, large dining room, kitchen, butler's pantry, gaming/cards area, and full bath with shower stall and stackable W/D. Freshly updated in 2020 with new, clean furniture and new flat screen TV with streaming apps. Kitchen includes new (narrow) dishwasher, brand new fridge/freezer and gas stove/oven. Basic countertop appliances included. Out back is a deck with grill and eating table for 6. Out front is a wrap around porch for relaxing, lounging, playing or eating. **The porch was completely rebuilt in Spring 2022- pictures not yet updated to reflect improvements.**
Upstairs you'll find 4 large bedrooms (3 queens plus a bunk room- twin over full). Each has large windows and beautiful natural light. One queen room also includes a Pottery Barn crib. Pack n Play available as well. There are 2 full bathrooms on the second floor- one hall bath and one Jack & Jill. Both include showers/tubs.
Continue to the third floor to find 2 more bedrooms with twin beds (2 in one room, 1 and a chaise lounge in the other).
The home is tastefully decorated with new (2020) furniture, paint, and refinished floors. It’s incredibly child friendly with lots of space to play, a Pottery Barn crib, bunk beds, and kids equipment (infant tub, bouncy chair, high chair, etc).
There is a small backyard with an outdoor shower and storage shed. Beach chairs, umbrellas, seasonal beach tags, and sand toys included. (Note: backyard, shower, and shed is shared with first level apartment. Apartment is used only by the owners, never other tenants.)
Linens (sheets, blankets, bath towels, hand towels, and dish towels) are provided.
Walk in any direction for a few minutes and find the beach & boardwalk (4 minutes), cafes, ice cream, pizza, Walgreens, dim sum, Italian food, Chinese food, liquor, hoagies, brunch, and fine dining.
A peaceful residential street with friendly locals so we ask that renters be 25 and older.
PLEASE NOTE: There is not garage or driveway, parking is free on the street, but first-come, first serve. NO OFF STREET PARKING

This house was a perfect stay for a large group of friends (all adults). Plenty of space to shared space to hang out together, cook, and eat meals, but enough rooms to have plenty of privacy. Very short walk to a beautiful beach, and the provided beach equipment was much appreciated. The front porch was a great spot to enjoy the late afternoon after the beach. The back porch was another great alternative spot to hang out in the mornings. Comfortable accommodations with easy access to everything we needed!

We very much enjoyed our stay in Ventnor. The house was even better than the description implied and that the picture showed. The house was very spacious and had everything that we need. It would be ideal for families with small children because they had cribs and games. Every room had a window And modern ceiling fans that kept the room very comfortable. The beds were great and so were the pillows. There were extra blankets. The owner was very responsive when I had questions. he was concerned that we were satisfied with his home. In the back yard is a shed that contains very nice beach chairs that we were allowed to use. It was convenient to have an outdoor shower and a hose on the side of the house to rinse our feet. The front porch had brand new furniture that was very comfortable and it was a great spot to sit and read. Overall, I highly recommend this property unless it’s a weekend that I want to stay here! 10 star rating!

Wonderful family reunion to celebrate our Mom's 100th birthday! Your home hosted myself and husband, our 3 grown sons and their wives and 2 grandchildren. Weather was amazing, spent each day at the beach with all the beach accessories provided by host and evenings gathered at the dinner table and after with plenty of games and puzzles and laughter. Thank you!

Tim’s place was fine overall, but not as great as we expected, especially considering the price. We had four adults, a four year old and a baby.
On the positive side, Tim was very responsive, communicative, and easy to reach. The location is great - very close to the beach, ice cream shop, grocery store, and restaurants. The house was generally clean with a few exceptions (see below). There were a few nice amenities for the kids - kids utensils, plates, puzzles, and beach toys.
We had a few issues during our stay. The hot water was mostly lukewarm and takes a very long time to heat up. One toilet was not working properly. The other bathroom smelled somewhat musty. The handle of the freezer was broken. The fire alarm went off unexpectedly (no actual smoke, just malfunctioned). The high chair was covered in food and had not been cleaned at all. Tim was apologetic and helpful with all of these issues but there was not much that could be done about these things on short notice.
A few other things to note that are not clear from the listing: The AC is window units. The rooms are smaller than expected but otherwise comfortable. There is no off street parking, which was not a problem during our stay but would be good to know during busier times. Tim provided a good number of nice pots and pans for cooking but there are no other basic kitchen supplies such as spices, sugar, oil, dish sponges.
Overall, the house generally met our needs but we expected much more for the price.
