Stayed 2 nights and it was cosy enough with fire, though had to keep adding logs during night but it does have a small Radiator too. It was approx -20/-25 overnight. We did sleep with couple layers on first night.
The fairy lights around cabin and along pathways outside were very atmospheric. Nice stroll down to a frozen lake.
Decent breakfasts - eggs, cheese, cold meat, tomatoes, breads, granola & yoghurt.
Staff very helpful. Paid 10 euro to get lift to Ivalo bus station on day of departure.
Taxi cost us 45 euro from airport, tho another couple only charged 30 euro!
Loved the dogs, could hear them at times but ear plugs helpful. Please do interact with dogs when passing as they love the ear rubs and attention, super sociable!
The ‘dry’ toilet wasn’t as bad as it sounds but wouldn’t like it for too long.
The utensils weren’t very clean but fine once I boiled water snd washed them myself. If you’re able, take extra paper or plastic travel cups as only small traditional bowls, spoon/ fork, small cup.
Didn’t detract from our stay though.
Really enjoyed the experience.

Awesome location right next to a forest and a husky farm. Hut was a lot more spacious than I thought. Staff were really nice and breakfast was great each morning. The huskies are also awesome and the old one at the front loves a cuddle. Really easy to see the northern lights and go for a walk through the forest.
It was impossible to keep the property at a comfortable temperature. The fire place was great to heat the place up but would die if left unattended for an hour or more the the place would drop to really cold. Overnight the fire went out and we woke up and half the things in our room were frozen. The floor especially seemed to not have an insulation and you could feel the freezing air coming up through it. There is a small heater in the room but that felt as though it put out no heat whatsoever so not sure if it was broken?

Real adventure. Amazing sauna - whole experience where tou need to take the wątek from the river, maje the fire and take care to get the souna heated.
You can take a ‚shower,, usuną wątek from siuna afterwards.
Greate place for a grill - a cottage with fireplace.
Beautiful river and forest. No people.
Better take small things with you as salt, pepper tea - if you going to cook here. There is small place too cook - with a pan.
Everything!

Very warm welcome from the host. The cabin has everything thats needed, bio toilet, 10l of drinking water, a sink to wash dishes, a kettle, cutleries. The stove in the cabin was great to make it warm.
We were able to use the rustic sauna, dip in the cold river (there is a convenient stairs to get in), water from the river was then heated in the sauna and used for washing.
We were lucky to be the only ones that night, so we had full privacy in the middle of the forest! Except for the reindeer who came to say hello :)
In addition there is a great opportunity to pet the huskies, who were very friendly and willing to make friends :)
We really loved the place!

The cottages located right next to a little river were marvelous.
The dogs barked many times in the evenings and the mornings but it was not disturbing for us.

Nice location at the husky farm outside the city in the nature. Very cosy with a fireplace inside the cabin. Good sauna very close to the cabins. You can hear the dogs day and night but you can also pet them as much as you like.

Small little cabin with everything you need. Big and comfortable Bed.
Be aware that there is no running Water, but a 10L Canister that can be filled up every morning.
Acces to a Sauna, great Breakfast and a lot of lovely dogs, and a great possibility to see northern lights.

The small confortable cabin, the sauna with the water from the river, the quiet and the simplicity. No tv, no wifi just the nature.

We very much enjoyed the surroundings, the cabin was beautiful and cozy, we had fun making our own fire and we loved the rudimentary sauna in the woods.
Breakfast was very nice, and treatment was perfect. Of course, we also loved getting to see the dogs.
We didn't get to see the northern lights unfortunately but it would have been the perfect place!
Anyway, a real wild experience!!
Everything was great in our opinion :) Although the electric heating went off a couple times, but you can light a fire very quickly.
There is no shower, but you can wash yourself in the sauna so that'd be also covered.

Great location in the wilderness. Very cosy hut with a stove. Exactly what you need when you want to escape the city. Super friendly owners who shown us the place, huskies and gave us tips for some hiking trips around. And also the morning breakfast was great. Honestly we were a bit sad that we had to go only after one night.
Just a heads up - the hut has only the chem toilet and there is no shower but thats a part of being in the wild. Just be prepared for it 😉

The staff was very friendly and the service was excellent. The location is breathtaking with the woods and the lake, not to mention the dogs that make it a vet special place to stay. The cabin was very cosy and comfortable, with everything you need to enjoy your stay. The fire heated sauna made our stay even more special. Would highly recommended it!

Cabin in nowhere, in the woods, surrounded by 90 dogs. Their howling is relaxing (but don't be afraid, they howl maybe twice a night and they're a bit farther so it's very faint). In the cabin you can find anything needed for a survival. The heating system (firewood, beware to keep the fire going during the night), kitchen facilities (though limited), comfy bed and dry toilet. We've cooked for us so we knew we should bring all stuff with us as there is no store within 8km distance. Especially good to know if you don't have a car. And the bonus, we did Husky safari (in the morning) which was excellent!

authentic experience in a real Finnish cabin in the middle of nowhere, super cozy, surrounded by wood and huskies
It wasn’t so clear that there is no running water inside the cabin, no shower

I loved the location and the hut feeling there. You have to do some light work (nothing too special) since it's a hut and it has all the required equipment. I would defenitely live there again since I loved it!
I would prefer it had some better heating since, when the fire was out, it would get a bit cold in the mornings.

The cabin has everything you need and is fine for a night or two.
It should have been made clear in advance that neither airport pickup or drop-off, nor food would be available.
I understand it was busy because of the main season and generally it's not really an issue... if you are informed about it beforehand. So just a heads-up for future guests.
I'm also not sure if the sheets were washed between guests, but could be wrong.

Dark enough location that we got to see the aurora.
Must be prepared to use an eco toilet but that is also the charm of the cabin.

the Hut was very romantic and cozy: the bed was giant and very high, I loved it! it’s very pretty and the spaces are very good organized, considering that they fit everything in 20m. The only thing that maybe is important to specify early is that there are no water pipes, so you cannot flash the toilet or wash your hand, unless you have potable water with you. By the way, it didn’t stop us: it was an unique and super nice stay in the middle of the forest, with a private sauna and a river in which you can bring the water for the sauna!! a very typical Finnish stay ❤️
(as I previously wrote, maybe it’s better to specific earlier the lack of water pipes, just in case that’s crucial for someone)

Amazing place in the middle of nothing! Comfortable bed and good spot to see aurora borealis. No running water, so it's not so comfortable after a cold day! We have the possibility to wash ourselves thanks to the sauna (additional price 20€). Good place if you want to live a very finnish experience!
P.s. You have to light the fire!
No running water, no toilet, no hot water!

Very cozy, clean and comfortable cabin. It had everything you need to have an authentic wilderness experience. Super comfy bed and a fire place that warmed up the place but also was beautiful to look at. The owners were super friendly and helpful. Highly recommend!

We wanted to have an authentic and close to nature -experience in beautiful Lapland, and this is what we got. The hut was atmospheric yet very clean and seemed new. The area is very quiet, in the middle of a forest, and therefore a good one to spot northern lights. We were lucky enough to see them! The sauna was also clean and we had a wonderful time in there and dipping in the small stream just next to it. The staff was helpful and friendly. Will come back if in the area!
The huskies make some noise, not that much in the middle of the night though. We did not mind this but some people might. Luckily there was ear plugs in the hut.

Very nice atmosphere, and special to stay in vicinity to all those sledding dogs. We also had some reindeer passing the property during our stay. The huts are very cozy. Staff/the owner very nice to communicate with. The sauna option with the icey river water next by is really good.
The organic sanitation facilities in the hut are laudable, but one needs to get used to it.

The cabins are brand new and very clean.
The people taking care of the place are very nice and they reply fast to the messages.
There are very cute dogs in the facilities.
There is no cooking stove. You can heat your food on the heating stove but it warms up the room too, so it gets too hot inside the cabin.
The sauna did not have water supply, and the river where you could get the water from was near impossible to access. Therefore, there is no easy way to wash yourself (shower) at the moment.
There are no good views from the cabin.
We payed for 2 nights but we left after the first night.
I would not recommend the place for summer, although I guess that this is a great place for winter activities, such as husky safari or snowmobile trips.
