East Rock - Cosy Guesthouse in Kelvin Heights

If you are looking for comfort in nature this is the perfect stay. You have access directly to the lakeshore within a 2 minute walk. A bright and very well insulated cozy studio room. The underfloor heating in the shower room is divine. You can park right outside also.

Clean, warm and very comfortable

Great hosts with excellent communication. Very nice and clean apartment. Great location on a very quiet street. We highly recommend.

The rooms and facilities were clean and tidy.

Of all the accommodation on our 3-week tour of the South Island this was the least favourable. The unit is true to the promotion pictures but is small and just a sleepout with bathroom attached to the owners garage. The only eating facilities are a small microwave, toaster and jug on a trolly. No bench. On arrival we found there was no television channels available and after the owner returned home she told us they don't provide them because they believe nobody views them any more so they only provide Netflix and the like. Although the gentleman owner later came and offered to set up a cell phone with Chromecast to make two channels available. This only lasted one night of our three night stay. The place is a long distance from Queenstown and attractions. You must have your own transport unless you want to be tied to a water taxi timetable.
