About this cottage rental
Welcome to Millie’s - Phyllis. Cottages maintain their original 1970’s charm, now transformed into contemporary, comfortable gems with the best sunsets in all of Canyon Lake.
Currently Canyon Lake levels are at a historic low and lake access from Millie's is limited. Please visit the MyCanyonLake website for more information under the category of lakes and rivers.
Creature comforts include:
· Queen bed and a full over queen bunk bed (sleeps 6)
· Living area with dining table, couch, WiFi, Smart TV (bring your logins), games, puzzles, books, etc.
· A cozy kitchen including Galanz fridge/freezer, electric range/oven, microwave, coffee maker (of course), blender, toaster, dishes, drinkware, flatware, knives, cooking tools, bakeware, pot holders, BBQ tools, dish soap, first aid kit, and more. Customized Yeti cups are available for purchase if you’d like to take Millie’s home with you.
· Beautiful, full bath – including towels, hairdryers, and bathing suit hangers.
· Outdoor seating area including a charcoal BBQ pit (BYO - meat, veggies, charcoal and lighter fluid), picnic table, and chairs.
· 1 wagon/cottage and beach towels.
· Parking – 2 cars/cottage or 1 car and a boat maximum.
· Proximity to Canyon Lake Boat Ramp #17 (currently closed), Canyon Lake Dam, Brookshire Brothers Grocery, Gruene, shopping, restaurants, watercraft rentals and more.
As the property boasts the perfect combination of convenience and seclusion, wild things abound. We’ve seen those that slither, sting, stink, spray and graze so be aware of your surroundings and who you share it with.
Speaking of sharing – there will be other guests on the property with you in other cottages.
*The health and safety of our guests is paramount. Cleanliness is always our top priority. We offer a 24 hour guest service contact number for emergencies and messages will be answered promptly. Arrive after four o’clock when it is convenient for you with an easy and contactless check in and out process for our guests.

Life has been crazy for us this summer-a mix of hard and good. Who doesn’t need a stylish little cabin to get away to?? From the ambience to the amenities, we loved our experience so much that we already booked a stay, in the very same cabin, for August. The Phyllis Cabin smoothed out the wrinkles of hardship and helped us focus on the joy of the future. We felt privileged to find home in the Hill Country and can’t wait to come back!

Lake level was low due to drought the previous year. So little bummed about that as it says water front but all in all a nice place to stay

As soon as we opened the door we were pleasantly surprised to find the cabin was as advertised . The cabin was decorated well with modern and boho touches . The kitchen was great and loaded with everything you might need . It was very very clean ! The bedroom was great with these large queen mattress bunk beds and a separate queen bed . My 4 year old happily slept on the bottom bunk in the same room . The cabin has literally anything you might need . It’s cozy and comfortable and we loved it enough to want to go there again on another occasion . It was nice walking to the lake and hanging out outside . There’s plenty of deer roaming which was fun to see . The views were great ! I would recommend taking water shoes or Tevas as there are lots of rocks going down near the water . We really enjoyed sitting outside drinking wine and listening to music on the Bluetooth they provide. The location is great too and we were able to make day trips to Austin and Fredericksburg as well . There is a good grocery store near by where you can buy anything you need and a lovely little Italian restaurant as well amongst other things . The only small issue I had was that I wanted to check in earlier and I wasn’t really given an option too . They kept telling me they would notify me the day of and no one ever reached out so we killed time going out to eat at the Italian restaurant. So just know check in is at 4 and unlikely you can check in earlier. I wasn’t super upset about it but when there is some flexibility it’s nice and welcomed . But this cabin is great so don’t hesitate !
