About this apartment rental

Summary:

Holiday in Rome as though you lived there. Stay in "Mio Giardino Romano" and enjoy a charming apartment with a private garden, 1 bedroom, bathroom, living room and separate dining area in the full, eat-in, kitchen. Move into the heart of historic Trastevere, around the corner from the beautiful fifth century church of Santa Cecilia. Cross the Ponte Garibaldi and your are in Rome's Historic Centre. Excellent and good value restaurants and shops abound.

The Space:

"Mio Giardino Romano", the apartment of a Roman photographer, will delight you with its blend of modern art and historic detail, like its original tiled floors, and lovely antique pieces of furniture. Its three rooms, living room, bedroom, and large, eat-in kitchen are all spacious and light-filled. It's special treat is the private garden, where you can enjoy meals outdoors through many months of Rome's beautiful weather. The apartment is perfect for a couple or for a family, as the living room has two sofa beds, suitable for two children. Please note that this may not be ideal for groups with infants or toddlers, as the two twin beds are best suited for children aged 6 and up.

Please note there are no pets allowed.

The Neighborhood:

You can stroll narrow, cobbled streets of Trastevere lined by medieval houses, bars and restaurants. It's neighborhood is both quiet and and active with some of Rome's best neighborhood restaurants offering excellent value, and either traditional or creative cuisine. We will be pleased to furnish you with a list. Outdoor markets and both charming and funky shops line the streets, too. At night both Romans and foreigners flock here. A visit to the historic fifth century Church of Santa Cecilia is a must. The church of Santa Maria in Cappella can be seen from your window. Take a short walk across the Ponte Garibaldi and you are in Rome's Historic Center, and the Piazza Farnese, the Campo di Fiori. You are also a adjacent to the Isola di Tiberina (Tiber Island), historic and charming. Mio Giardino Romano will make you want to stay in Rome forever.

Amazing location in Trastevere near the river. We walked all over Rome. Communication with Susan was stellar. She was helpful arranging for a driver (nice guy!!!) to pick us up at airport & explained how to schedule a taxi via Freenow as we were both clueless. The gentleman/owner (apologies but I forgot his name) was so kind & thorough & helped us figure out how to make phone calls with the proper prefixes. Traveling is stressful but everyone involved with our Rome stay were so kind & accommodating to our questions & needs. The apartment was clean, roomy & comfortable. It was too cold for the garden but it truly is a lovely spot. The welcome wine & water were a nice touch. Would stay again. So grateful for our time in Rome because of the attentiveness of all involved. Grazie!!!

Great location. Nice older man/owner met us at property. Management company helped arrange car to pick is up at airport with super driver. We appreciated 2 small bottles of wine for us in fridge. However, property is not renovated. No screens on windows so we were eaten up by mosquitoes. Stand alone A/c unit exists in one bedroom, but extremely ineffective at cooling room. Disturbing art in kitchen. It was recommended to use existing 2 heavy bars to put across every window and door for security if you were not currently in that room and always to be use the barricades before going out -resulted in dark interior and gloomy vibes. Apartment has lots of potential. The reviews (and interior photos) did not accurately reflect what we saw.
