The location was ideal for what we wanted to do during our stay. Walking distance to all the major tourist attractions - Colosseum, Piazza Navona, Trevi Fountain, Campo di Fiori, Vatican, etc. For day trips outside of Rome, a taxi stand was only steps away to take us to the train station at a very reasonable cost. Also a perfect spot for food (restaurants, markets, grocery stores). Some mornings we walked to Piazza San Cosimato for fresh fruits/vegetables and cheeses/proscuitto/pasta for our meals (the owner of the cheese/meat stand is so nice!). When we went out to eat, there were lot sof restaurants within steps and the area is alive with night life. You can also walk along the river for more restaurants and a bit of a market selling everything from jewellry to vintage records. The rental itself was a little snug for our family of 6 (4 teenagers) but we managed and it actually forced our kids to spend more time with us which me and my husband loved! The kitchen was well equipped for morning espressos and meals for those evenings we just wanted some down time. Our hosts were amazing. We stayed in touch when we landed to provide an ETA and were welcomed with local treats. We also received messages on helpful tips of where to eat and shop. We were well stocked with linens and the place was spotless. Whenever I had questions throughout our stay, I would receive a response almost immediately. Would happily stay with them again if we return to Rome.
