We stayed at Villa Motsamot last week for a family gathering of 12, and it was absolutely perfect! The villa is incredibly spacious and comfortable, with six bedrooms that gave everyone plenty of privacy. The two lounges were ideal for when we wanted to split up into smaller groups. We can’t praise the villa manager, K. Wit, and his team enough — they went above and beyond to make our stay exceptional. K. Wit is a true asset: friendly, professional, and always ready to help. One evening we tried the chef service for a BBQ (recommended by K. Wit), and it was outstanding — everything was so fresh and flavorful, even better than many restaurants we’ve tried. The chef handled everything, from shopping to cooking, so we could simply relax and enjoy a fun night together. The pool was another highlight — huge, sparkling clean, and perfect for both laps in the morning and playtime with the kids during the day. We had the best time cooling off and making memories there. We’ll definitely be back — hopefully very soon!

We have spent Christmas and NYE at Villa Motsamot with a family of 10. The villa has amazing potential. It's spacious and can easily accommodate whole family without people bumping into each other. The location is fantastic - it's peaceful and quiet but also close to beaches and restaurants. Breakfast was one of the highlights and it's prepared freshly on site by the staff with a great choice of items. Pool is large and clean and was perfect to cool down. Khun Thun (on site manager) was lovely and extremely helpful and made sure our day to day needs were met.

The villa is dated. It could have a certain charm and we loved the thai architecture but it's giving a tired and neglected vibe. The worst was that the villa has not been prepared and cleaned properly before our arrival. We did not expect 5* luxury but cleanliness is a basic necessity. We booked months in advance and even visited around 3 months before our stay (during another trip) to check the place met our basic needs (space, location etc.) as it's challenging to find villa of this size. The very minimum we expected was for the place to be clean. Instead we found dust in every corner, dead old dried bugs lying around, bed sheets with tears and stains, dirty dishes in cupboards in kitchen etc. The staff started cleaning immediately after we pointed this out. They did a thorough cleaning the next day but the first impression was bad. We had additional issues with staff that I will not describe in details. Tom and Khun Thun dealt with these swiftly, however, it left another bad impression on our stay. A number of things in the villa also require replacement. To name a few: door locks are in horrible shape (to the extent we asked for a chain as the balcony door in one of the rooms didn't lock at all and we didn't feel safe after previous issues with staff); ceiling fans look like they will fall off (but they still work); pool shower is in such a shape that I didn't dare step my foot in it; and fixtures in some bathrooms and kitchen are falling apart. The management should strongly consider investing some money into refreshing the villa.

Very serene and private setting, layout lovely, fantastically maintained. I loved that there were two separate blocks and option of a second kitchen. Some stunning rooms and bathrooms. You can fight for the best ones :) . Loved the fact that the manager was a resident host although had not known in advance, this service proved invaluable. She was the perfect host, did as much or as little as we needed and completely unobtrusive. Helped with all our queries and went out of her way to make sure she met our needs. Putting pool towels out for us daily, laying the table ready for breakfast and helping us organise home delivery of meals and recommendations for restaurants were spot on. A generous tip is well-recommended as she really went above and beyond and ours was very gratefully given as the service really made our trip. A local beach is about 20-25 mins walk away, or a short cab ride, the football golf is just at the end of the lane. Other beaches in both directions. We were very happy with our boat trip, the driver was very flexible and happy to accommodate our needs.

Not a dislike, just an observation that perhaps some fittings in the kitchen were looking a bit faded and tired but this is natural given the climate. A suggestion: it can be helpful for the information about where groceries can be purchased to be on your ad, it is good to know there's a big supermarket within 15 minutes and that a taxi (can't remember cost) can be booked to take you there. Also to let people know there is a decent 7-11 for basics within 2 mins walk may also be helpful. Also, we were told we could hire bicycles before we went, but on arrival were told this wasn't an option. It wasn't an inconvenience at all but just an observation to note.
