About this villa rental
Enjoying glorious sea views and a tranquil rural setting, Villa Nynemia is within fairly easy walking distance of the sandy beaches, shops and tavernas of Almyrida, especially in the cool of the evening.
Elegant furniture, newly renovated kitchen and bathroom fittings (with English plumbing) are all part of Penny, the charismatic owner's philosophy that guests who really enjoy their stay are likely to return.
The beautiful pool is surrounded by sunbeds under the pergola.
Location Almyrida
Standing on a terraced hillside a little under 2 km from Almyrida, Villa Nynemia is set amongst 6,000 sq m. of olive groves. It's a 25min hilly walk into the laid back small resort of Almyrida with mini markets and other small shops and taverna tables on the waterfront.
2 kms inland, the pretty village of Gavalohori offers a further choice of excellent tavernas and a baker amongst its streets.
The beautiful Venetian harbours of Chania and Rethymnon are both easy to visit from Villa Nynemia and a trip into the nearby mountains is unmissable.

Your Villa will be prepared for you on arrival with fresh bath and hand towels and all beds made up.
For stays of 7 nights or more - house towels will be changed every 3 - 4 days.
For stays of 14 nights or more - bed linen will be changed every 7 days.
Pool/beach towels - one per person for the duration of your stay.
Parking - There is ample parking under the driveway under the olive trees.

Great stay at the villa! Very well equipped where we spent a nice week in August. The house is calm with fan and AC in each room. You can sleep late in the morning as no noise around, and take the aperitif seeing the sunset in also a very calm atmosphere. The pool is great where you enjoy the sun or the shadow. 5min from Almyrida center where you could find all you want : shops, diving center, restaurants, food market. Very nice and calm city center. I strongly recommend the house and the area. I will come there again with joy.

Over the last few years we have stayed in several Freelance villas, in Kefalonia and Crete, and this was the best we have stayed in so far.
Location is excellent. Less than an hour's drive from Xania airport, and less than 30 minutes walk from Almyrida beach. Almyrida is a small, fairly busy resort, with an excellent selection of places to eat and drink, from traditional Greek tavernas to a sophisticated rooftop cocktail bar. There are also some nice tavernas in the nearby village of Gavalohori.
The villa itself is spacious and well equipped. The veranda at the front and rear balcony mean that you can always sit in the sun or shade, and the view from the rear balcony over Souda Bay is spectacular, especially at sunset.
The pool was lovely and well-maintained, and the villa itself was clean with all the plumbing and electrics working as they should, (sadly this is often not the case in Greek holiday accommodation.) Nectarios, the owner was friendly and helpful, and there was even a chocolate cake waiting for us in the fridge when we arrived!
We are seriously considering returning to Villa Nynemia next year.
