The cottage is in a very convenient location, within walking distance of the town centre, shops, restaurants and local walks. Being at the back of the main house, it's quiet and peaceful (apart from the odd passing train), with a garden. Lots of birds and occasionally a passing red squirrel can be seen. There's a parking space directly in front of the cottage. The heating was already on a time schedule and the cottage was cosy. We would definitely stay again.
I don't want to be too critical because overall our experience was good. However, I'd mention just one or two things which could be better. The door to the living room could do with a shaving taken off its base to make it easier to open and close over the carpet. While the kitchen is generally quite well equipped, a couple of wooden spoon for stirring and definitely a scissors would be useful. Windows and doors could do with a little TLC to make the place look more inviting.

Great lay out with 2 ensuits and kitchen in middle. Quick walk to shops n pubs.
No lock on back bedroom window which worrying as children were sleeping in there. Unable to lock bathroom windows so did not feel secure
