Great location and very family friendly

We were travelling with a toddler, and the host was very accommodating. They were able to source a high-chair and a travel cot. It made our journey too and from Pitlochry so much easier.

Would stay again 👍🏻

The location was excellent (5 mins walk into the village). Cottage was very clean and tidy, with traditional Scottish decor. We didn't cook a lot, but the kitchen had everything we needed. Fair sized bathroom with excellent bath/shower.

The single beds are a little small for an adult (I'm 6'1), but fine for kids. The sun rises very early (4.30am in June), so 'blackout blinds' could be useful from time to time.

Lovely house in a perfect location in Pitlochry

Location was perfect - we didn't use the car at all whilst in Pitlochry! The cafe right at the end of the street is great too, made for a very easy breakfast! The house was warm, comfortable and well equipped - what more could you ask for?

As many others have said, the furniture in the living room is very low (apart from one chair), which wasn't an issue for the younger ones in our party, but was definitely a bit tricky for me! Also, parking is suspended on the main street while the Enchanted Forest is on, so many people coming into town end up parking on the side streets - our car was blocked into the drive until very late one night, so keep an eye on that if you have any plans to use your car!

Lovely place. Comfy and well equipped and a great location for access to Pitlochry

Had everything we needed and was great for getting into town by foot and still easy to reach the accommodation from the main road. The beds were comfy and the covers were warm. Finding the jigsaws in the cupboard was a nice surprise. The guestbook with the information on the local area and takeaway menus was really good. Dog bowls in the cupboard were good - we brought travel bows for our Assistance Dog but they're not very large and he is a pretty big dog so finding large bowls in the kitchen was great. Easy to pop the heating on for a bit longer if needed (and it was pretty cold while we were visiting).

The heating being on a timer instead of a thermostat meant it got very cold overnight - we were fine in bed thanks to the warm bedding, but getting up to go to the loo was uncomfortable. The backdoor being an old-style wooden door means it's less secure and has gaps that allow heat out. Could do with more cutlery, crockery, and glassware - we had to use the dishwasher more than we needed to for the number of meals we actually ate there. The shower screen seems to let a bit of water out. I found getting into the driveway a bit difficult. I have a medium car with reversing sensors and a camera and it has great manoeuvrability but the road is narrow and the gate posts are just a little closer together than I liked and it made getting in and out challenging. None of these points were major problems and didn't detract from our stay.

Accommodation comfortable and clean. Garden a good size for dogs to play in but would have been even better if it was secured with fence and gate. The large porch was great for getting dogs cleaned and dried before going into the house.

Great cottage and great location...you can walk to shops, park, and distillery!

The location which I have know this place as it is great place for walks and shops! Lovely countryside. The cottage are really nice and easy to reach the shops!!

Only thing is the sofa..they are low as my friend is very tall and I find hard to get up!!. It will be nice to have a comfort sofa.

Pleasant

Location was excellent.

Decent basic self catering accommodation. A few minor bits and pieces needing fixed inside the property but overall it was okay. The most disappointing aspect was the state of the garden - overgrown grass, weeds everywhere and cracked and uneven paths. It needs a fair bit of tlc.

Lovely stay in Pitlochry - this was a good base for us

Great location just on the edge of Pitlochry with parking in driveway. A very clean and well equipped house.

Outside of house needs attention, especially weeds in driveway and garden and the shed that looks like it is about to collapse. Would also be better to have back garden enclosed, especially as the house is meant to be dog friendly. Internet very slow.

A bit disappointing

The bungalow was easy to locate and on the main roads for access to the local hotels restaurants and shops.

The sofa and chairs in the front room very uncomfortable not a pleasure to sit on. In the end due to the bad weather not happy to continue with the stay and left early.

Ideal location for exploring Pitlochry, quiet street. Clean, comfortable and cosy.

Signs of damp in bathroom, shower screen seal needs replaced as it let lots of water through. Although asked beforehand which bedroom we planned to use, still found it strange that the second room was unmade and heating turned off. Usually the price charged is for the house not for the bedroom, unless otherwise advertised.
